There are an endless amount of open marked threads scattered all over the place !
People spend time to pick a place, organize their own plot of the thread on their own, and then start it up leaving it open to anyone and everyone. And they sit around and wait and wait and often beg -
--but after a while those threads get buried by others and soon they barely exist and let alone are impossible to find.
You can stop this every day tragedy and save a thread life -- by donating only three dollars a month, you can provide open thr-
...that was my attempted at being funny. Did it work? Do I have to ask?
Going on...
So yeah, I was trying to find open threads and they're either replied to and under way or I couldn't really find them, or their way out of date, or I had to really dig dig dig a tunnah to do so.
**It would be a lovely lovely convenience if we had some sort of sticky thread anywhere that when someone starts a new thread they can post a link there, maybe give a short description and there it is for everyone to see it's been born. So then when there are people searching around for threads to join - they can just refer to this thread, scroll, click, POST! Baboom!
This post is messy and all over the place so hopefully you could follow. My apologies.

Many people list new threads under Character Plots. I've done it a few times, just saying something like, "I started a new thread in Adventureland that is open to all," or "open to all former garbage boys who like rodents," or whatever.
Some people also add links to the threads.

Ah yes, I did notice that.
What I think would be really nice it to have one thread to refer to - instead of just coming across a plot that happens to have a link to it or to go and click through all the plots to find one.
So if you want to find an open thread to join you can just go to one thread and see a list, all in one place, yeah.

**sneaks a karma point to both gadget and lumpy when no one's looking**
Thanks !
I think I'm making it sound a lot more complex than it is, cause it's very simple. ><

Sorry for my late reply. -sheepish grin- A good idea, but, then the admins would have to clean the database everyday with crowded threads. It might be a bit of a hassle, but I'll bring it up to my fellow staff and get their opinion. xD But have you guys tried using the 'Search' button? Don't type anything, but put "threads' for 'View results as (collapsed),' enter any number, click Search, and you'll find dozens of threads. That's how I find open threads ^^
