Character's Personality: Colette is, in a word, tough. Years scraping her way up the culinary ladder has made her hard and easily angered. But once you get under that layer of tough, she is very soft and caring. Many argue that the anger is merely a mask that she wears to cover up everything underneath, like the side of her that can laugh, cry, and show emotion.
Character's History: Colette was born in the south of France to a cook at a small-town bistro in a nearby town. She was fascinated by her father's profession from the time she could understand it. When she was asked at her kindergarten commencement what she wanted to be when she grew up, she eagerly blurted 'a chef, like papa!'.
When she began her training as a chef in Italy--a school of the culinary arts she'd always admired--she realized how cut-throat it could get for a woman when three of the girls in her pastry class dropped out after first semester. Colette nearly quit too, when her current boyfriend told her that it would be hard for someone like her to get a high-paying job as a woman.
Nevertheless, she continued on through college and graduated, one of the top of her class. She was soon after hired at Gusteau's as a small part in the kitchen. She spent the next few years climbing up to higher positions, sometimes having to argue with Skinner about her position, until she reached her current position.
When Linguini was put in her care for teaching after his success, Colette was skeptical. But as the training went on, she started gaining 'trust' *coughacrushoncough* in him, until she learned of the secret to his success. After that it took looking at Gusteau's book Anyone Can Cook to convince her to come back and help please Ego.
Characters Likes: Cooking, being respected, stations being clean.
Character's Dislikes: Dirty stations, people telling her that she can't do something, people getting on her nerves.

Task: You have just arrived at Walt Disney World. Your character has just been brought to the Happiest Place On Earth, but what happens then? What do you do first? What park are you going to go to? Write a 3-5 paragraph RP using our rules into effect.
Arms tucked in close to her body, her hands sent her knife across the cutting board, the celery under the blade crunching as it was sliced. The feeling of chopping something for a dish soothed Colette's nerves. How she was stressed! So many orders, so little time! She did not have time to take time to personalize each order for every customer. That was what she could do at home...where she wasn't right now. Right now she was...where was she?
She was somewhere with a kitchen, certainly. But, she had no clue where she possibly. It was not the kitchen of Gusteau's, her house, anywhere she could recall. Setting down the knife, she walked out of the kitchen. Looking out the front window, she saw France. But it was not the France she knew and loved. It was, almost a copy of it. Looking across the sweep of customers, she counted off three or four pairs of mouse ears on children.
"I must be dreaming," Colette whispered, returning to the kitchen, searching for someone she remembered, someone who knew where this was. Looking to the clock, a mouse wearing red shorts, yellow shoes, and white gloves pointed with his arms to the time. Under the mouse read, in small print, 'Disney'.
She dashed over to one of the other workers. "Pardon me, but where am I?"

Do you like the site so far? Love it!
Anything you need us to know or any questions? It's Susie and Pen-Pen I gave up Riley for Colette, I couldn't seem to get him to agree with me when I posted.
