Arthur beamed as Merlin approved of his choice of a parent. The wizard spoke well of Kopa, so unlike Archimedes who spoke poorly of Esmeralda. "Oh Sir, I'm so glad!" the boy replied cheerfully. He hadn't felt this happy in quite some time.
Merlin then asked him a question he'd never thought he'd ever been asked. He asked Arthur if he wanted to be a lion. The boy blinked. "Oh, I ---" He didn't get to finish his response. Merlin pulled out his wand and spoke the ancient words. Being hit by magic was a rather strange feeling. Arthur soon found himself looking up at Merlin.
"What happened, Sir?" he asked. Getting no response, the boy saw a puddle of water nearby. He ran to it and looked into it. He gasped. He was a small lion cub, his fur the same color as his hair in human form. There was a tuft of extra hair on his head, with a few stray hairs sticking up, just as there was in his previous animal forms. His eyes were also the same blue as they were in his human form.
The boy smiled wide and turned to Merlin. "Oh, Merlin! I'm a lion! I'm a lion!" he exclaimed, jumping up and down. Oh, how happy he was!

[[Yes! I can finally join!]]
Kopa has just returned from his walk around the park. He was going to just relax now. Kopa went towards the direction of the garden of exotic plants until he heard something.
The talks were interesting, but he hesitated. He just finished some hours of walking. But, they might need assistance so he decided to follow the voices.
The voices got louder as he came closer. He stayed quiet, crawling under branches and bushes. What he saw surprised him. It was the wizard Merlin, whom Kopa enjoys being with.
But that's not all that surprised him; there was a lion cub! But he didn't look like a lion he knew. Knowing Merlin, he decided it's safe to come out.
"Hey there! Merlin, it's me, Kopa!" Kopa jumped out of his hiding place with glee. He ran towards the wizard and hugged him by wrapping his right front leg around the man.
"Who is your little friend there?", Kopa asked as he let go of Merlin. He walked over to the golden fur coated cub as he looked at his features.

There could be little doubt to the boy's elation. He was a lion, just like his father! "Merlin, thank you!" he said gleefully, running up to the wizard and rubbing his head against Merlin's legs. He'd seen his father do that to him, so he supposed he should do it too. Arthur then stepped back. There was a strange burst of energy in him. He wanted to go out and run...really fast. Was that something lions liked to do?
Not a few moments after, a rustling could be heard in the bushes. Arthur spun around. What could it be? Had something followed them? To his surprise, it was Kopa, his father. The tall and well-built lion emerged from the underbrush, pulling Merlin into a hug. He then looked at Arthur and asked who he was. The boy smiled wide. "Oh Father, it's me! Arthur! Merlin changed me with his magic!"

"Arthur?!", Kopa was completely surprised. His son was a lion, just like him! Kopa couldn't say a thing after that.
He just stared in disbelief, jaws dropped for a few minutes. "N-no way! You gotta be kdding me!" Kopa started chuckling, and got excited.
Kopa turned to look at Merlin. "y-you didn't really?" Kopa asked happily to Merlin. He then leaned in forward so that he was with eye level with the now, lion cub Arthur.
"You look like a handsome young king, my son!" Kopa rubbed his left cheek against the cub's left cheek. "But you know, no matter what you are, I'll aways care for you!" Kopa said reassuringly to Arthur.
He then got up and walked to Merlin. "But why did you turn Arthur into a cub?" Kopa asked in wonder.

Merlin smiled humorously at the overly excited lion cub. The way you look, yes you are a lion. But the way you`re bouncing around i would say you`re a kangaroo, he teased playfully. The next moment Merlin found himself in a tight bearlion hug, with none other than.. Kopa. Hello there Kopa, he replied, gasping for breath. It`s been a while, my friendHe smiled secretive as the lion questioned him about the identity of the young cub beside them. Oh take a closer look and you might know him.Neither wizard or owl couldn`t hold back their laughter noticing Kopa`s expression, as the feline realized who the little one was. Why i turned him into a cub.. Merlin echoed Kopa`s last question, getting a glimpse of humor in his eyes. Why, it would be a lot harder to make him a full grown lion, seeing as he`s just a young boy yet.(PS... Arthie.. Quasi needs Zeph in France. )

(Definitely! I'll PM Wendy about this one too.)
Arthur showed a toothy smile as he saw how surprised Kopa was. "Yes, Father! It's me!" he exclaimed. The lion seemed quite taken in surprise, made apparent by his words. He looked at Merlin and questioned the old wizard before turning back to Arthur. He brought his head down to the boy's eye level (which would've been quite a way, considering how large a lion Kopa was, as well as how small Arthur was) and spoke again.
He told Arthur how fine he looked as a lion cub, rubbing his cheek against his. The boy purred in contentment as he did so. Kopa then drew back and told him that no matter what form Arthur was in, he would always care for him. The boy replied back in a soft voice. "I know." he said. He listened to Merlin reply to the lion's question, a bit of playfulness in his voice. He said he certainly couldn't make the boy into an adult lion, considering Arthur's age. It was just like Merlin to say something like that. Arthur couldn't help but chuckle.

Merlin watched the two of them interact, noticing the obvious affection between them.
Now that Arthur was a lion cub, no one who saw them and didn`t know the story behind, would suspect they weren`t father and son for real.
Merlin was glad the boy finally had found someone to replace the family he never had, in time this might give him the security he needed, and Merlin himself wouldn`t have to be constantly worrying about his safety as soon as he disappeared from sight.
Wisely, he choose not to spoil the moment by telling Arthur the fact he couldn`t stay a lion forever. Merlin weren`t happy about the thought of splitting up the newfound family, besides, they still did have plenty of time as of yet.
