Movie(s) your character is in: Hercules
Character's Personality: Meg is well, complicated. She's tough, witty and sarcastic, very few people get to see the girl underneath the 'don't mess with me' attitude. Underneath she is quite gentle, and is a hopeless romantic at heart, but previous encounters have made her wary until the point where she trusts no one. Meg is quite good at working people out, which is why she made such a good minion. She doesn't take rubbish from anyone, and sometimes this can work against. She has never had much regard to rules, or people who abide religiously by them, believing life is more than working all day. Although she has been in the company of some very evil people, she will always side with the greater good and is extremely loyal. Meg tends to bite people's head off and bites off more than she can chew, like dying for instance.
Character's History: Her heritage is nothing special, an average Greek family. She has one older brother, and so most of the attention was on him. Her childhood was quiet, peaceful, undisturbed. She learned the ways of art and music and pottery, which was her father's profession; like so many others in Ancient Greece. Her brother was a soldier, and it was expected of her to find herself a suitable husband. And at sixteen years old, Mr Right, or how it seemed at the time came along, throwing Meg head over heels in love, and at that time, the feeling was mutual. Her family were relived that she had found someone suitable to care for her, and arrangements were being planned until her lover suffered a fatal injury during a hunting trip, and died on that same day.
Heartbroken, Megara travelled to the underworld like so many had before her and pleaded with Hades, the God of the dead to set her lover free. Hades, after seeing a potential minion in her or something of the like agreed to let the man live, provided she would give him her soul in turn. Meg agreed and the deal was done. Her lover returned to earth and she too went back to Greece, but her soul was not her property anymore, and so was bent to the will of Hades. With the thought of seeing her lover again she returned to her town, only to find him in the arms of another girl. Devastated and heartbroken she returned to the underworld, and sealing her wounded heart for ever more, or so she thought. To keep her mind off the painful subject and to try and knock a few years off her imprisonment, she was sent out on various tasks and jobs for Hades.
Of course, all this time Hercules had been growing up on Greece as some sort of Demi-God, although Hades and his minions knew nothing of this. It was Meg that stumbled across Hercules by chance, being 'saved' from of the creatures Hades was trying to convince to stay on his side. Meg thought nothing of their meeting, but when Hades met up with her that day it appeared this guy was the key to Hades' undoings. Hades first tried to break Hercules with a series of monsters and complications that any mortal would die doing, but it was all useless. Deciding to use a different tactic, Hades sent Meg to Hercules to try and charm him into finding his weakness. After all, every hero has a weakness.
Meg spent more time with Hercules, and soon realised she was falling in love again. And the more time she was with him, she realised she didn't want Hades' plan to work, in fact she didn't want anything to do with him at all. When she told Hades that Hercules didn't have a weakness, the God realised that their love was the weakness, and used this to get a deal from Hercules. As he thought a Cyclops through trickery, Meg pushed Hercules out of the way of a pillar, instead being crushed and shortly afterwards dying. So she went back to the underworld in a completely different way than she was used to, preparing for her soul to stay in Hades' realm forever.
So it came to Meg as a shock when her soul was freed from the underworld and she was restored to Earth. She travelled to the heavens with Hercules to see him go to the place where he belonged, again with a heavy heart, she would never have her lover. But Hercules wished to stay on Earth with Meg, and of course, she was overjoyed about this. And that is where they have stayed ever since.

Roleplay
Task: It was all very, magical. A giant castle loomed over the paved streets, faces of excited children and their worn out parents flashed by her as Megara stared up at the palace. It was busy and noisy, but at the same time, beautiful. It was certainly different from Thebes, or Athens, or any other Greek city in fact. Meg wasn't sure whether she liked it or not. With a small shrug of her shoulders, she sauntered off and allowed herself to be swept along with the crowd to the entrance.
Meg disentangled herself from the crowd, composed of mainly tourists and other characters. She walked down the streets, peering into different booths, purplish eyes watching the skies as all sorts of rides soared through the air. Meg wasn't fond of heights, as she had discovered via Pegasus, and decided that it probably wouldn't be a bad thing to miss the park rides. She crossed the street to a few souvenir shops. A clothes shop, naturally caught her eye.
She entered the shop, thankful for it's quietness and air conditioning. All different types of princess costumes were arranged into racks, but of course, Meg was looking for her own. Not to be vain or anything, well..yes alright, vanity if you will. Meg soon spotted it. Slender fingers plucked the dress from it's hanger, holding it up. A look of disgust. That, is hideous. She drawled, glaring round the shop. The assistant soon disappeared under the counter from her lilac glare. Snorting, she hung it back up and stalked out of the shop.
She spent a little more time wandering round the main street, watching the different street acts and veering away if anyone got too close, before dropping down onto a deserted bench. Hopefully, there may actually be someone she knew round here. Preferably not the fire haired, slightly insane type, but even the prospect of Hades was looking good compared to a bunch of screaming six year olds.
