"Pridelands? I don't know anything about that, but I have met two lions during the time I have been here. Both of them are male, one off them Kopa one of my best friends here. The other one is Kovu, I don't really know much about him, and for now I want to keep it that way. We have had.... a little bit of a disagreement in the past."
Gaston then saw a male deer jump out and scare the vixens children. He decided it would be a good idea to keep an eye on him from now on. Then he saw a woman join the group, although she was very attractive Gaston had to many thing on his mind to flirt right now, she also seemed to be looking for someone in particular. If she was a princess it was probably her prince, however he couldn't figure out how they would be separated.
"Sorry princess, I havn't seen anyone like that around here."

Watching Vixey's fox kits run off to the nearest bush for shelter made him laugh uproariously (with a little snort through his nostrils), finding that his mission was accomplished. "Aw, I was just kidding! Come on!" he said to the fox kits jokingly. Then he said to Vixey, while playing it cool, "Just having a little fun is all."
The miscievous young buck also took notice of a young woman looking for someone and his pet monkey, and, like Vixey, he didn't have a clue what a monkey was, but he chose to switch subjects instead and introduce himself and his two antler stubs. "The name's Ronno, and these are my boys Stab and Jab." To show everyone how tough he appeared with his antler stubs, he went over to a tall tree to stab it with the stubs, making several deep marks in the tree. Then he decided to comment about the jungle, "Wow, isn't this place something? You could get lost in here and never find your way out!"

The young Arab smiled lovingly at the three kits, and also their mother. There was something probing her, telling her that the fox, must be a wonderful mother. She crouched down slightly, before her fingers touched one of the kits gently. Realizing what she just did, it must be weird for a stranger to suddenly cozy up to the adorable kits, her cheeks began to turn a faint pink before she stood up again, brushing off the dirt on her pants. A low growl alerted her of Rajah’s presence once more. She chuckled, before saying.
“I’m sorry. Its nice to meet you Vixey and you have very adorable erm- kits. This is Rajah by the way…”
Her fingers motioned to Rajah.
“And he is very easily jealous.”
Jasmine raised an eyebrow at the tiger who rolled his eyes. She sighed softly, knowing it was a lost cause. Her mind continue to ponder how will she reunite with Aladdin once more, at this stage, even Iago’s presence would satisfy her. And what about her father, the sultan? She was sure she heard his voice. Was it a dream? Or was she starting to hallucinate? A voice, echoed into her thoughts as her eyes darted towards the man with a long hair.
"Sorry princess, I havn't seen anyone like that around here."
Ah. As she had thought, maybe Aladdin hasn’t arrived yet. Jasmine sighed once more, her eyes downcast, before she muttered an answer.
“That’s fine, good sir. Th-Thank you for the information, though.”
"The name's Ronno, and these are my boys Stab and Jab."
Once more her eyes averted to the deer. He was a cheeky little fella for one, but the mischief aura which lingers about him made her slightly uncomfortable. Wincing, at his sudden display of strength, she stepped back slightly, though she couldn’t help asking, if it were the last thing on earth she’d be doing.
“Doesn’t it- Doesn’t it hurt Ronno?”
Her eyes met Rajah as they exchange glances. How quaint. These creatures, were really quaint.

"Hurt? Ha! Not one bit," Ronno remarked toward Jasmine in a braggish tone. "My boys will never cause harm to me."
Then he took real notice of Rajah standing next to the Agrabah princess. Instinctively, the natural fear of seeing a predator within close range of him forced him to back away a couple steps, though he did it carefully so as not to let anyone in the group judge him as a scaredy cat. Then he looked back at the marks he made on the tree with his antler stubs, feeling quite proud of his work (even if it was wrong for him to cause damage to Mother Nature this way).

“Kopa? Kovu!” Kiara repeated, her eyes widening. “I don’t believe I’ve ever met a lion by the name of Kopa, but I do know Kovu.” Her head tilted to the side when he explained that the two of them had had a disagreement in the past.
“Wha - what do you mean disagreement?” she asked out of curiosity. So there was hope that she would meet up with other lions after all! This was good, she’d been about to fear she was the only one walking throughout these lands.
She turned when Ronno, head butted a tree with his antlers and she jumped, her hair standing up on end ready to defend herself and the others if need be. But it seemed, the young deer was only showing off and she settled down. She looked towards the princess who she hadn’t noticed before and gave her a smile and then her eyes took in the sight of Rajah, a creature that reminded her of a lion, but it had odd markings.
“My... I’ve never seen a lion with stripes before,” she exclaimed. “You cant be from the Pridelands, can you?”

Gaston listened to her reaction, and smiled when she recognized one of the names. Even though he had some troubles with his own feelings, Gaston didn't hate Kovu. In fact, the opposite was true, he wouldn't admit it, but he hoped that the lion could find his family and be happy one day.
"So, you know Kovu? Yes, we had a disagreement over a woman. It wasn't one of my best moments. I got a little more jealous then I should have and said a few things I shouldn't have."

“Over... over a woman? You mean like another lioness?” Kiara asked curiously. She knew there had been a lot of time between her and Kovu last seeing each other and things had changed... for the both of them.
“Oh,” she said quietly in response to him getting jealous and overstepping things. “What... what happened may I ask?” She wondered if Kovu had moved on and found another mate to be with... or perhaps something else happened? Perhaps Gaston just over reacted when really Kovu was just being friendly with someone else.

"Another lioness? You are the first lioness I have met so far."
Gaston paused for a moment, her concern was strange. How did she know Kovu from before? He too a moment to look at the lioness and a thought came to his mind. He had to make sure he didn't say to much to the wrong person.
"You wouldn't happen to be Kiara would you? If so, then things might become a little difficult to explain. The last thing I would want is for you to have to feel the way I do right now."
Gaston didn't exactly have a sad face, but it was easy to tell he was a little depressed. If this lioness was Kiara then it wasn't his place to explain, at least not in front of so many other people.

“The first one so far...?” Kiara repeated slowly, not sure what to make of that. What did that mean for the rest of her Pride? Were they perhaps not here... but if Kovu was, surely the others must have come as well. She broke out of her thought when Gaston spoke her name and she tilted her head a little in surprise.
“I am... Kiara,” she told him quietly, frowning slightly in confusion as she listened to him. “What... what exactly are you talking about?” She wasn’t sure what he meant, in fact he wasn’t making much sense anymore. Feel the way he felt? Difficult to explain? What did that have to do with Kovu and him and someone else... She sensed his sadness, though he didn’t show it on his features.
“Cheer up,” she told him softly. “It’ll be okay... just think... Hakuna Matata. That’s what my dad always said, Timon and Pumba too.” She grinned hoping to make him feel better, though a part of her was still very curious as to what he knew...

Gaston sighed a little at her response to his comments. He thought for a moment the best way to explain the situation to her without saying to much.
"Well, first I have to say that Kovu still loves you very much, and is probably looking for you right now. I can't be sure of the entire situation, but during your time away from him things changed."
Gaston paused for a moment, he was still unsure of how much he could tell her. He didn't really know this lioness, and didn't want to hurt her feelings with a story like this one.
"He was shortly married to a woman named Esmeralda. Apparently, they where divorced for many reasons. I know they still care for each other, but somewhere along the way I fell in love with Esmeralda. That is the short version of the story, I don't think I should even be telling you all this, but since you are so close to Kovu, you at least need to know some of whats going on. Now you see why I didn't want to tell you."

“Changed?” Kiara repeated looking at Gaston with a mix of fear and horror. “What’s happened? Is he okay?” Had Kovu had someone try and turn him evil again? Was that what he meant. No. Kovu would never change that way, Kiara knew that deep down in her heart.
“Married? As in... she... she became his mate?” she questioned raising an eyebrow, she’d never heard of marriage before, at least, not used in that term. She listened to Gaston continue, her ears lowering sadly.
“He’s moved on... and this... this Esmeralda creature is your mate and she fell in love with Kovu?” Kiara asked quietly. “I... I suppose it has been a long time since I’ve seen Kovu, I imagined things had changed... but I guess... I guess I wasn’t really prepared for how much...” it was going to hurt. But she didn’t think that last part out loud and instead she sighed and looked up at the sky and closed her eyes.

"Please don't be sad, Esmeralda is not my mate. She and Kovu are no longer together. I love her, but she doesn't return my feelings. I do believe Kovu wants to be with you, but I am also unsure of the whole situation between Kovu and Esmeralda."
It was strange, even though he was trying to hide how hurt he was feeling, he could see the same thing in the lioness. Her confusion was to be expected with him telling her all of this. He did his best to put a smile on his face as he spoke again.
"Despite what has happened I think that you need to speak with Kovu yourself. If you can, try not to mention my name to him. I can eventually get over the jealousy I felt around him, but I don't know if we will ever be friends. I wouldn't want him to Esmeralda to be angry that I told all of this to you."
