Elizabeth stayed silent, especially when she found herself untied and let go. She was annoyed at Jack for not sticking up for his own wife, and obviously not caring about his daughter. However, she was even more annoyed at Barbossa for trying to use words to turn Jack against her. Elizabeth stormed after them after being dragged on board, ignoring James and Anamaria for now.
"I am NOT dragging Jack or any pirate here to the gallows! I'm not even talking about THAT and you know it, Barbossa." She said his name with disgust, like it was leaving a foul taste in her mouth. Elizabeth turned her glare to Jack and placed her hands on her hips. "Yes, Jack, you better be choosing a side, meaning either being single and cursed with him or the husband and man you agreed to be when you married me. Go for it." She glanced a deadly look at Barbossa, challenging him to interrupt.

"Well aren't ye convincin'." Anamaria muttered lowly while aboarding the Black Pearl. "Ye ain't draggin us to no gallows, but ye sure won't be one to be stoppin' it. We deserve it remember."
Leaning against the ship, Anamaria folded her arms over her chest, while looking out towards the ocean, while humming the pirate national anthem..some would call it. Her lengthy hair was brushed aside, while simply watching how everything unfold. No, she couldn't help her eyes to roll at the woman's statement. Truly she isn't sending anyone to the gallows, but she wouldn't stop it. She would allow it, permit it. Even by her own words, she would even let Jack do the hangman's jig. No she wouldn't send him, but nor would she stop it. After all he was a pirate, and according to Elizabeth a powdered nose and pirate king of mutiny pirates deserves it. She didn't exclude it. In short, Anamaria lose any sense of respect for her. Her declaration was as twisted as an oxymoron, a pirate aggreeing to cruel and unusual punishment.
The only argument she had left was their marriage. "So much for better or for worse." She could easily side with her husband like a wife should, but this one was too stubborn and adament to make a change. Hell, she knew he was a pirate before they even had a marriage. Plus, you can trust a pirate, but not what they say. Now it narrow down to one thing.
Lie to yourself and live your entire life with one who would condemn your innerself directly or indirectly, or not to lie to yourself at all and be free from such imprisonment. Of-course a pirate have done many wrongs, but the greatest sin is lying to yourself for who you really are. There were too many variables: go with Elizabeth and leave who he is behind or be who he is and his wife will leave, but still remain a father for his daughter.
The only thing that surprised Anamaria that Elizabeth isn't dead or punished for mutiny.

Jack looked from Barbossa to Elizabeth and twitched his mouth nervously. He felt confused, he didn't know which side he should choose. Even if what Elizabeth said about pirates was wrong, he still had feelings for her and the thought about loosing her over something that could possibly be solved scared him.
He, then again also loved being a pirate just as much and he didn't want to have to hide who he was if that was to be if he chose to go with Elizabeth. He walked towards the staircase and placed his hand on the railing and looked around the ship remembering what it was like when he was still Captain of The Black Pearl. He then suddenly turned around and said"Alright,"he walked towards Barbossa"First of all this may be your crew but it is still my ship so tecnically I am still Captain savvy?"He then walked towards Elizabeth and said"And as for you, I don't like to take sides for reasons like this but I'm sorry love, unless you change the error of your ways it looks like I may have to."He turned towards Barbossa then said"Barbossa, take this pirate traitor to the brig."He walked away from her not liking his decision but he really had no choice at least not for the moment anyway.

James tried not to pay close attention to the bickering of the two ladies, Elizabeth and Anamaria. They both had points, but neither of them was whole-heartedly...correct in their position.
He glared as Jack dismissed his wife, angered by his decision. I would have treated her properly...the way she deserves to be...

Elizabeth glared at Jack and his words, feeling her breathing stop for a moment. She ignored Anamaria now, not interested in the woman pirate against her. It seemed Jack wasn't going to side with her and honestly, she had known he wouldn't. Being a pirate to him was more important than having a wife, obviously. She glanced at James and noticed he was giving Jack the same look... maybe he could help her?
But she decided to keep her eyes on Barbossa. Jack had told him to take her to the brig... if he even thought of laying a hand on her, he'd know about. Elizabeth wasn't the sort of woman to give up easily, and they all knew that. "Fine, if that's your decision, then... fine." She could feel the tears forming in her eyes, but she was determined not to let them be shown. "And here I was thinking you were a good man, Jack. You don't even deserve to have a family."
Her thoughts turned to their daughter... who looked like it might just be her daughter now. The last thing she wanted was Lillian to grow up without a father, but if that's what Jack choose, it would have to be. Her gaze turned back to James. "Why didn't I choose a respectable and faithful man like you to be my husband?"

Barbossa laughed a bit, finding Jack's words humorous. A ship is useless without a crew so technically, Barbossa won that debate. He heard Jack's decision and was actually pleased to hear something sensible from the man.
"Barbossa, take this pirate traitor to the brig," Jack told him.
To this, he chuckled, "I'm not inclined to be so rash, Sparrow," he said. He watched Elizabeth go on a rant and thought her words were utterly ridiculous.
Barbossa walked up to her, grabbed her and spun her around, gripping her by the arms. "Respectable and faithful are not but words, Miss Swann. Words that ye ought not be throwin' around unless ye know a little about them yerself. Seein' as ye been banned a traitor by Capt'n Teague..." He looked up at the sky. "Miss 'm dearly..." He turned back to Elizabeth. "It be only right fer ye to be sufferin punishment fer such offenses and I am nay th' one t' do it."
Barbossa took her hand and faced her palm upwards. A black mark was revealed across her hand. "Say 'ello t' th' black spot Ms. Swann. I hope ye become well acquainted." He let her go. "So ye see. I must not be doin' anythin' t' ya fer yer actions. Ye seem to be in a deeper predicament as it stands." He chuckled sadistically.

Elizabeth screamed in shock as she was suddenly grabbed by Barbossa. Just his touch made her feel cold with fright and she couldn't help but lean backwards, as if to get away from him. But his grip didn't allow that to happen. However, she recovered when his words angered her even more.
"In that case I am privileged to say those words, but the real question is... are you, Barbossa?" Again she spat out his name like it gave her an awful taste in her mouth. She tried to wriggle out of his grasp when something he said made her freeze. "Punishment?"
Elizabeth looked down as Barbossa took her hand and her eyes widened at what she saw. She didn't even notice when he let her go... she couldn't take her eyes off her palm. Slowly, her gaze returned to Barbossa and the horror was obvious on her face. "No... this can't be happening..."

Feeling his job was done when he saw the look of horror on her face, he backed away and advanced to the wheel. He stopped and without turning around he said, "I may be a pirate, Miss Swann. But I know a thing or two about keepin' me honor. Th' words I be sayin t' ye is true, and now, m'lady, you'll have the honor of sufferin' th' consequences." He smiled before advancing to the wheel again.
He turned around and shouted, "Jack I'm sure ye can be of help t' ye lover, as I'm sure you can tell 'er all about how t' survive th' Locker."

James stopped cold when he heard the woman he so pined for express what she had. Was she...being honest? Did she really mean what she had said? Was there a chance for him...?
"Elizabeth..." he breathed, wanting to look her in the eyes but struggling to. It was too difficult, too painful. Suddenly Barbossa grabbed her and began to lecture her once again, with his rogue "authority" over her. God, how many men were going to treat her so barbaricaly?
He gasped when he inflicted a black spot on her palm. "Barbossa! Unhand her!" he snarled, ripping the man off of her angrily. "Elizabeth, are you all right?" James grabbed her wrist and examined the black spot, and recognized it to be the same spot Jack had received in the past.
"d**nit!" he exclaimed in frustration. The locker, Barbossa had said...Davy Jones locker? Well, who else's...
"Barbossa, I demand you to remove the black spot from her palm. She did no such thing to deserve this cruelty!" he snapped.

Barbossa burst into laughter at James' request. "Ah, Norrington, I'm afraid I have not th' means nor th' desire t' do such a thing. Firstly, it is but only fair for her to suffer th' consequences of th' Black Spot by way of Capt'n Teague's word and th' words of th' code. Secondly, she is but a traitor to th' very bein' of a pirate so I must do nothin'. An' thirdly, it is by th' monstrosity of Davey Jones and th' Kraken by which the spot is controlled and it is by them that th' spot e'er be removed. So, sir Norrington, I suggest ye be takin yer frustrations on Elizabeth an her foolish decisions, elseways they be havin' no effect whatsoever."
Barbossa smiled at Norrington sadistically. He couldn't lie to himself, he enjoyed watching Elizabeth get her due punishment. Yes, she was a fine young woman, to be sure, but her offenses should not be tolerated by any means. Barbossa was simply keeping his pirate honor and loyalty by encouraging the events that were to unfold. He then looked out at the sea, on the look out for the Fly Dutchman or the Kraken. When they come, he would have to be prepared.

Elizabeth felt tears begin to well up in her eyes at the thought alone of the spot on her hand. She'd began to shake with fright... not because of the black spot exactly, but of what it would cause later on. Barbossa was willing to fight for pirates that had been taken away from their families and here he was doing it to her?
"No! I have a daughter... isn't this just like what happened to your lot? You claimed to have seen the pain from the families of them... but here you are willing to repeat it with me? I don't even deserve it!" Now the tears were spilling over. It saddened her more that Jack was against her... who would raise Lillian if the Kraken succeeded?
When James showed her how upset he was by this act too it renewed her hope, but not by much. "Of course I'm not alright!" She leant into James, now sobbing. All she could think about was Lillian as an orphan... that was all she cared about.

"There be no use in sheddin' tears in front of me, m'lady." Barbossa said coldly. "I told ye before, I have not th' power to dissolve yer final judgment even if I wanted to, Miss Swann. An' as fer yer daughter, her family also includes Sparrow, a pirate, lest ye forget."
The waters for now were quiet, but he knew they wouldn't be for long. Barbossa was telling the truth though, he couldn't remove the spot. But despite the consequences that might occur with Lillian, it was only right for Elizabeth's fate to be in the hands of Davey Jones. He would not budge on that simple fact.

James listened in silence, eyebrows furrowed in impatience and increasing frustration as Barbossa repeatedly stressed that Elizabeth had "deserved" the spot for her disobeying of "the pirate code," even going so far as to back his arguement up with Captain Teague's name. The pirate captain then explained to him that although he inflicted the black spot, it was somehow not possible for him to remove it and only Davy Jones could.
Elizabeth crumbled right before him, tears streaming down her cheeks as she protested, the other sole defender on her part. "Elizabeth, please don't cry..." Norrington pleaded as she collapsed onto him, sobbing into his shoulder. His arms coiled around her waist responsively, holding her tightly. James was at a loss of what to do. He certaintly could not remove the spot himself, neither could anyone else on this godforsaken ship. Taking Elizabeth to Davy would likely be a most dangerous task. Could he do this?
"Barbossa, there must something that can be done to remove it?" he tried painfully. He strongly disliked not having the answers, and feeling so useless. He would risk his life to ensure Elizabeth's safety, but he wouldn't risk both their lives, especially if there was a possible either way.

Jack couldn't believe that he was just standing there watching the events as they took place. He frowned. He wanted to interevene once Barbossa placed the Black Spot on her hand but something told him to stay back and to continue to let the events unfold. He for once, agreed with Norrington when he said that she did not deserve this kind of punshiment. She derserved to be punshied but not this harshly. He remembered when he was sent to the Locker and he shivered just thinking about it. The Locker was much worse then his idea much much worse.
He then twitched his mouth once Lillian was mentioned. How was he going to take care of her on his own? He wasn't up for this kind of responsbtily but he didn't want to see his daughter ending up as an orphan.
He looked to Norrington when he asked if there was any way to remove it. But there really wasn't anything anyone on this ship could do about it the only alternative was to go to Davy Jones and to negotiate with him. "The only way to remove it is to go to Davy Jones and to negotiate the circumstances with him. Although there is no use going. Unless you are willing to risk everything to save her."He replied.

James was disgruntled and torn. Here that ridiculous pirate was, standing before him and suddenly acting so serious, which was unlike him. The ex-Commodore assumed that it was the prospect of his expected daughter Lilian and the antics of his wife that were making him anxious, and in turn contemplative.
He held Elizabeth close to him still, but loosened up gently as she was married and the husband was standing right before them. James hated to see her upset and hated even more when her tears spilled over. It was purely agonizing, the situation the two of them were in. Her fate would be the locker and his fate would be to live on and inevitably die in bitter anger if nothing was done.
"And what about you, Sparrow? You're not willing to risk it all for your own wife?" James furrowed his brows at the rogue pirate, disheartened. "I am willing to do all that I am able, but how can I believe I'd be the sole person desiring to risk my life?"
