((Haha, that's alright, it was so detailed! ) Lady, who had been listening intently to Remy's story gave an cry of "Oh yes!" as he finished. She saw an unsure expression on the little rat's face and it was then that she realized why. "I love listening to people's stories. That's extraordinary!" She added, an encouraging smile appearing on her face. She had enjoyed Remy's story very much and hoped that it came across that way. Lady pondered for a moment, wondering if she had come across anyone by the name of Basil. "I'm afraid I've never met Basil," she said at last, "Is he another rat?"

Remy was glad that she liked his story, despite how long it was. He was very proud of the story, proud of what he had managed. So a rat chef wasn't common here? Thinking of the sewing mice he had met there, and Basil, who worked as a detective. He smiled when Lady asked if he was another rat. "No, he's a mouse, actually. The great mouse detective!" How could she not have heard of him? Maybe she was American?

"A detective?" Repeated Lady, astonishment soon becoming excitable curiosity. Her eyes brightened at the strange prospect of a mouse being a great detective. Yet even in her excitement, she couldn't help but wonder. Is he telling me the truth? she thought to herself, wondering if Remy was joking or not. By the look on his face, he seemed quite serious. There was no hint of a joke anywhere. He was smiling quite pleasantly, happy that she had asked. "Is he very famous?" She asked conversationally. "Do you know him? He sounds quite fascinating."

"He is famous in rodent-world." He answered. He wasn't sure how famous he was in the real world, but at least he was known in Remy's pack back in France. "I'm very proud to tell you that I know him. He actually lent me some clothes, but I decided not to filth them here at camp Minney-Mickey today" he explained. "He wears clothes, you see, just like people!" He made a little laugh. He thought he looked ridiculous when he first saw him, but that did Basil at the look of a rat without clothes, too. And he figured that Lady would understand how ridiculous it was to wear clothes since she didn't wear anything but a dog collar herself.

Archimedes listened to the rat`s story while trying to fight back his headache. Quite impressive, he finally hooted, as he were able to think clear. Against his will he slowly started to take a fondness of him, though he wouldn`t willingly admit it. Still a chef could come in handy he thought.
Thank you for your offer by the way, i do have a hard time with hunting at the time, he admitted as politely as he could.

"Really? Clothes?"
Lady considered this, trying to imagine the strange image in her mind. A mouse in clothes! How peculiar! she thought to herself. "Why does he wear clothes?" She asked Remy curiously, wondering if their was some special reason. "I don't think I'd look very good in them," she added as an afterthought.
Lady looked at the owl as he spoke, and she was glad to find he found Basil, the Great mouse detective just as interesting as she did. "He is, isn't he?" She agreed.

"I think it might be because he wants to be more decent and proper, like a human." That was what Remy thought. But how could he know, he was just a rat, and the only thing he would wear was a toque blanche when he cooked.
He turned to the owl again. "I could make you something, but I don't quite know what. There are lots of berries in the forest, and there's fish in the lake... You eat fish, don't you?"

"Oh yes," said Lady considering this and realising it would be a good explanation. Making a mental note to herself that if she ever met him, she would be sure to ask him, she looked around for the lake Remy was talking about.
"The forest? There's a forest here?" She asked, surprised. She had never heard of one in the park! How big was this place? "I don't think I've ever had fish, what's it like?"

"If you prepare it right, it might be the best thing you've ever tasted! I love fish!" he admitted. "If we go to Echo Lake, we will find fish, and in the 100 Acre Wood, we will find berries and maybe fruits as well."

Lady's eyes brightened and her tail wagged with curiosity and excitment. "Really? Would you - I mean to say - if it's not too much trouble - to cook some for me as well? I would rather like to taste it," she said with a apologetic tone to her voice. Lady didn't like to sound rude after all and she didn't want Remy to do hard work on her account.

Remy was one of the few rats who loved to cook. He lived to cook! But as a rat it wouldn't be easy to get an animal that was bigger than himself... he would need help from Lady. "Of course i will cook for you too! But I need help with the fishing." To cook, they would need ingredients, and first of all, the main ingredient! He was already planning how to prepare the fish. If they got sea bass, he could bake it, with lemon and bay leaves.... spanish onions... with small tomatoes... and white wine... mmm. Careful, Remy, or you will start to drool!

Fish..Archimedes mumbled, considering the idea. Well, it sounded a lot better than fruit and berries anyway, and when he couldn`t eat what he was supposed to eat..
You know, i could always help with the fishing, he offered. Though don`t expect much success. Fishing is more of a specialty of certain eagles and hawks more than owls.
What am i about to get myself into, the owl cursed himself, hoping he wouldn`t appear to clumsy in his fishing attempts.
(sorry, i haven`t been much on lately)

(it's okay! I haven't been so inspired lately, but you got on again just when I got my muse back!) "Great!" he smiled, and made a little jump. He was so excited! "I just have to go back to the hotel and get some foil. Let's meet by the lake in... ten minutes?" Then he walked away on his hindlegs, back to the hotel to find foil. disneyglobe.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=echolake&thread=8273

"I'm sure that's not true, you'll do just fine," replied Lady kindly with a smile. She noticed the owls scowl to himself but made no comment, but having a slight idea on why he was silently cursing himself.
"Okay!" She said brightly beginning to walk in the opposite direction, "Would you like to walk... Or fly with me to the lake?" She added to Archimedes.
((And me, don't worry! ;D))
