It was a chilly winter morning, shortly after the visit at the old wand maker, Ollivander. Merlin, now reunited with his dear owl Archimedes, had found their way to the three of life. Now that his apprentice, Esmeralda finally had a wand of her own, Merlin had decided it were time to teach her to use it properly. Merlin had picked a place that should be pretty easy to find, the giant three behind him should probably be a clue, and was now waiting for the gypsy to arrive.
Archimedes, who had clearly stated he didn`t want anything to do with this madness, sat in the highest branch in the three. Merlin threw a glance up at the bird. He easily looked right through his apparently sulking manner, knowing it didn`t cost the owl anything at all to fly away to another part of the park. Still he sat right here, in the top of the three.. (edit, it seems we may have another student as well ;D)

Esmeralda walked quickly through the park, knowing she was late for her first lesson. She had no idea that her audience would demand another dance. She hoped Merlin didn't get angry. She had wrapped a warming shawl around her shoulders, and the wand was hidden in the shawl. Djali was bouncing after her, on safe distance from the wand. But he kept his eyes on her all the time, and didn't even stop to LOOK at the purple dresses in the dress shop.
Esmeralda finally came to the Tree of life, the very place for her painful memories of the marriage with Kovu. The only one she had ever loved, and who now had left her to return to Kiara. Esmeralda sighed deeply. She was afraid she wouldn't be so focused today as she would have been in other surroundings. But Merlin could hardly know the dramatic happenings of her wedding. She offered Merlin a pale smile when she arrived.
"Sorry I am late. I had to finish my work," she said quietly.

Princess Eilonwy was sat in the shade of a tree in the animal Kingdom, humming to herself as a slight breeze moved the branches above her. She was the picture of tranquility, until she suddenly noticed a girl pass by several feet away who was in an obvious hurry. Curiosity getting the better of her, Eilonwy got to her feet and, after briefly brushing herself down, followed her off down the path. She was led towards the tree of life, however stayed back as the girl seemed to meet up with who he was looking for.
Oh, it's a wizard!
The princess recognized the traditional robes and pointed hat that wizards back in her homeland wore. Eilonwy was an apprentice enchantress herself, so was suddenly struck by the idea that this Wizard could help her to hone her own skills. Taking a deep breath for a moment she stepped out and approached the duo, smiling in a friendly manner.
"Hello there," she began, curtsying politely, "I'm Princess Eilonwy. You're a wizard aren't you?"

Merlin smiled welcoming, as his student arrived. Ah there you are, don`t worry about being late, We arrived minutes ago ourselves. He threw a glare towards the three top. Someone is grumpy in the mornings. Just then he noticed a girl with long blonde hair, and medival clothes approaching them. What the.. he thought, surprised to meet a girl of his own time. He smiled welcoming again. After all this is Disneyworld, everything can happen here, he reminded himself. Nice to meet you princess. Yes, indeed, i am a wizard, he answered her question.
Archimedes had noticed their new companion as well. Curiousity getting the better of him, as he noticed her flying fireball. He took of from his branch and flew downwards. He circled around the girl, and stopped in mid air, flapping his wings, to get a better look at the orb. Remembering his manners, he turned back to the girl, Hello, good day, your highness. I`m Archimedes.

"Goodness I've never seen a talking owl before," stated Eilonwy eagerly, leaning forward to examine Archimedes closely, "not that I haven't seen talking animals before. I have a friend called Gurgi who's a talking animal himself, though I never did work out what type he was. He did like apples though, do you like apples?" She finally paused, giggling slightly before turning back to face Merlin and Esmeralda again.
"I was hoping you were a wizard you see," she began, twirling one strand of hair around her finger absent-mindedly, "I'm an enchantress myself, well technically an apprentice enchantress I suppose." She lowered her hand again, clasping them both behind her back as she practically bounced on the balls of her feet. "One was so hoping you'd agree to teach me more about magic, it's such a hard thing to teach oneself." She glanced briefly at the wand that both Merlin and Esmeralda had revealed. "Though I'm afraid the type of magic in my family, all the women in my line are enchantresses too by the way, doesn't use wands."

Esmeralda noticed the friendly way Archimedes circled around Eilonwy, chatting her up as if he was her best friend. He completely ignored Esmeralda, or sent her death glares when Merlin wasn't looking. He seemed to have forgotten that Esmeralda was the one that had freed him from the captivity in a cage in Ollivander's wand shop. She looked away sadly, wondering why she had bothered to come here at all.
She looked over at the new girl. She hadn't noticed Esmeralda at all. She started speaking to Merlin, as if he was the only person present. Then she started talking about lessons, and speaking about herself, using more words than Esmeralda had thought was possible. She rolled her eyes goodnaturedly.
Mon Dieu! She would have been a horrible gypsy. If she had talked this much when we were running away and hiding from the soldiers that wants to kill us, it would have meant the death of us all!
She stretched lazily and spoke, in a voice filled with humor. Her French accent was clearly audible.
"If you soon are finished talking, he might get a chance to reply. And better yet: To start the lessons."

(No worry Esme.. Archimedes will soon accept you, somewhat ;D)
Archimedes kept flapping in front of the newcoming princess. As she told him this was her first time seeing a talking owl, he replied, neither have i encountered a ball of light, like yours, Princess. Mind me asking exactly what it is? he asked politely, yet curious. He snorted as she asked if he liked apples. No thank you very much, he pouted. Tiresome as it was to keep flapping his wings to keep in one place all the time, he flied to settle back on his master`s shoulder. He made sure to send the girl another snort on his way.
Merlin listened to Eilonwy`s long speech, that girl sure was a fast talker. He chuckled at Esmeralda`s comment. Indeed we have to start soon. He turned back to to eilonwy, Well, i might as well take another student he said thoughtfully. So you`re one of the wandless, huh? I think I`ve heard of that family line, he pondered loudly. Well, i happen to control both kinds of magic, so i think i`ll be able to teach you something.I`ll have to see how far you`ve come during the lessons, though, so i know what i have to teach you.
Archimedes rolled his eyes. If you`re going take every pretty girl that flaps their eyebrows at you, as students, we might as well start a school! Merlin just smirked at his owl. Looking back at Esmeralda, he noticed she looked a bit lost. Princess, may i introduce you to my other apprentice, the promising gypsy Esmeralda Turning to the gypsy in question, he asked, I hope you don`t mind too much if miss Eilonwy joins us? I`ll still have time for you, you know.

((Yeah right. I believe THAT when I see it! ;D ;D ;D))
Esmeralda stiffled a laughter as she noticed Archimedes pouting when the Princess asked if he liked apples. She recalled he had started pouting when Esmeralda had offered him a cracker in the Wand shop.
"You don't like crackers, and you don't like apples.... Do you like food at all?" she teased with a glimpse of humor in her eyes. "And thank you for indirectly admitting you think I am pretty."
Esmeralda looked over at Merlin when he spoke to her. So he had noticed she had arrived here after all. Not bad. She smiled and looked over at him with humor in her eyes when he called her promising.
"Promising, me? After the disasters that occurs every time I touch a wand? Promising of bad luck is a better word for it! I still don't understand why you insist on having me as an apprentice."
She looked over at the chattable Princess Eilonwy with a smile, wondering if she had noticed there were other persons than Merlin in the room at all.
"Nice to meet you, Princess. I hope to get to know you better."
She offered Eilonwy her hand in a handshake, then she turned to Merlin again.
"I don't mind the least."

Eilonwy glared at Esmeralda for her snide comment about her talking too much, folding her arms crossly and resolutely turning to face Merlin instead of her. The bauble was zooming around Archimedes, flashing whenever the bird came near it in response to his curiosity.
“That’s my bauble,” she replied to the owl’s question, “it’s a glass sphere that I sort of animate with my magic. Rather like a puppeteer controlling their performers. That’s where I first got the idea. I’d slipped out of the castle during a town fair and watched a performance of them. It was fascinating, so I decided to try and create something I could control like that myself.” She extended one hand and the sphere zoomed towards her and hovered above it. “That’s why I created the bauble.” She was interested when Merlin claimed to have heard of her family’s bloodline and to be proficient in a similar style. However she frowned when he asked Esmeralda if she minded, having gotten off to the wrong start with the gypsy girl. However her first impressions seemed to be wrong, because suddenly Esme was perfectly friendly.
“It’s nice to meet you too,” she answered uncertainly, before turning back to face the instructor.

Esmeralda noticed Eilonwy's uncertainty and smiled, trying to ease her up so she could get more joy of the studies.
"Your bauble is quite impressive. And it has beautiful colors. How do you get one of these? Are they hard to make?"
Her emerald eyes studied Eilonwy with immense interest. She didn't want to miss one word of Eilonwy's explanation.

Wizard and owl studied the little light ball, or "bauble", while listening to Eilonwy. Quite interesting, Merlin replied. If she did make that all by herself, it sure was promising for further lessons. Archimedes just nodded in agreement.
Well, we better get started, Merlin decided. Please tell me how far you and your previous teacher came in your studies, so i know where to start with you. Then he turned to Esmeralda. Don`t worry, i haven`t forgot you, he smiled. When you`re ready, try to levitate that rock over there. He pointed to a somewhat big rock nearby.
Throwing a glance at the rock in question, Archimedes retreated back to the three top, not to risk his life.. or his head.

Esmeralda gave Eilonwy a smile, before she listened to Merlin's instructions. She sighed and rolled her eyes humorously.
"Merlin, was THAT the most interesting you could come up with? Puh-leeeeeeeze! You already KNOW I can levitate. Don't you remember when I turned Djali into an elephant and made him fly when you were on top of him?"
A huge grin crossed her face and her emerald eyes glittered.
"Hey - that was fun, actually. Do you want me to repeat it?"
She looked teasingly over at Archimedes, as if she planned for him to be her next victim.

Indeed i know you can levitate, Merlin replied patiently. What i don`t know, is that if you can do the spell you`re supposed to do. Merlin replied very well that night, including the fact that every spell she had tried had a different outcome than intended.
Archimedes, who had noticed the gypsy`s look, threw a death glare back, on his way up in the three.
Now it was Merlin`s turn to smile teasingly. Actually he lit up in his most mischievous look. So you want it interesting, dear? Well, you asked for it.
Higgitus.. figgitus...Ala ca ZAM!
As he heard the words, Archimedes looked down, wondering what his master were up to now. He were quite happy to see the gypsy woman were gone. Especially when he spotted a creature in her place, with hair that closely resembled the gypsy`s. Now here`s your task, Merlin said. To return to your human form by yourself. How does that sound for you?
( hope this isn`t to athe line to far, please tell me if it is, and i`ll modify. But if you still go for it, i`ll leave it up to you what kind of animal you are)

((Not at all! I find it hilarious! ;D ;D ;D ;D I hope you liked grilled chicken, Merlin.... *Glares at Archimedes* ;D ;D ;D ;D ))
Esmeralda looked down at her body.
"Oh joy, I'm a purple dragon." She said, in her dryly sarcastic voice.
She suddenly felt much larger than she usually was. Much much much much larger, in fact. She looked down at her purple skin, with a nervous glance over at Djali, hoping he wouldn't eat her. Her gypsy clothes had grown with her body, and she hoped they wouldn't fall off when she returned to her human form.
Archimedes was rolling around on his branch, howling with mirth, as he tried to hide his laughing by covering his beak with his wings. Esmeralda glared over at him, and a vicious grin went over her face.
"I'm.... a.... dragon......" she repeated as she recalled the stories about dragons breathing flames and sulfur.
She turned her head and looked at her back. She had a pair of tiny wings on her back. She flapped them, as to test if it worked. She levitated immediately. She grinned vicously, and with a couple of wingflaps she was above Archie's branch and took a deep breath. The next moment a huge flame came towards Archimedes' uncovered tailfeathers.
