A familiar pointed blue hat were visible over the heads of the crowd, decorated with a large brown owl with a featherless tail. The two companions had just dumped into a professional presentation of different future inventions.
And this high tec wonder will quite probably be available in just about ten years, the speaker dressed as a scientist, ended his talk of a rather outlandish looking flying car.
Actually, Merlin muttered quietly, it won`t be seen for at least 60 years, as there`s still a lot of minor failures to work out. The professor glared daggers at him as he heard how the long bearded lunatic spoke of his company`s masterpiece. Used to Archimedes death glares, Merlin smiled friendly back, not affected the slightest.
Rolling his eyes, the scientist continued, with a demonstration. Or that were was he intended, but it was no reaction whatsoever to get from the car.
Glaring at the wizard as if were his fault the scientist got more and more desperate in his attempt to start the car, as the crowd started to get bored.
Making sure nobody payed any more attention to him Merlin discreetly pulled our his wand.
Abra dawra wack, he mimicked towards the car, who immediately rose up in the air. It didn`t really matter if it flied with the help of science or magic did it? On a way magic was a kind of science as well. Even though most people blew it off as nonsense.

The clip-clop of a horse's hooves could be heard as a young boy rode atop his magnificent horse through the park. This boy was none other than Prince Ferdinand, and the horse no other than Kaiser, his trusty steed. Ferdinand had learned this particular part of the park was known as Future World. It had something to do with ideas and inventions of the future, ones that wouldn't come out for centuries to come. The very idea struck a chord of curiosity within the prince, and he was most interested to see what Future World had to offer.
People stared at him as they made way for he and Kaiser to get through. They certainly stood out from the crowd. Ferdinand looked around with wonder at all the futuristic things around him. It was all so much to take in! He then found he was passing a demonstration. The prince dismounted and pulled Kaiser by the reigns as he entered the assembled crowd. The lecturer was talking about a strange contraption behind him, saying it would probably be available within the next decade or so. A man with a long beard, clad in blue, muttered that it wouldn't for quite longer than that, as there were still kinks to work out.
The lecturer wasn't too thrilled by the man's comment, and the man received a nasty glare. The man didn't seem to mind it, and merely smirked as the lecturer tried a demonstration of the contraption; however, it wouldn't do anything. Ferdinand sighed heavily as he waited for something to happen. Then, out of the corner of his eye, he noticed the man take out a wand. The man muttered something and a blast of light hit the contraption, causing it rise in the air. "A sorcerer!"[/b] the boy thought to himself.
The prince tugged on the horse's reigns once more and approached the man in blue. "Good Sir! I saw how you made that contraption fly. You're most gifted!" Ferdinand complemented, the wonder present in the way he spoke. He'd never seen real magic before, and the kind he did see was that of evil. But this man's hinted nothing of the sort; rather, it was more of the good kind, a rarity if anyone ever did see.

Merlin turned as he heard a voice behind him, and spotted what looked like a medieval nobleman. A great contrast to the futuristic surroundings. Why,thank you, he responded grinning. It`s a simple trick of mine, but greatly amusing at times.
The professor glared angrily at the both of them, not amused that the long bearded lunatic claimed to be the source of HIS car`s flying abilities. If this ever came out he would be the laughing stock of his entire company.
Well, my name is Merlin, He introduced himself, to which his owl added, Archimedes, at your service, with a small tip of his head.

Kaiser swayed his head and snorted as Ferdinand led him by the reigns towards Merlin. It was while approaching the man the prince had spoken to him, complementing him on his magic skills. Merlin seemed to take great pride in his powers, as was evident in the way he spoke. He thanked Ferdinand and told him it was simply a trick that could be quite amusing at times.
The scientist who was in the car Merlin had just levitated glared at the prince and wizard. Ferdinand chuckled softly and returned his attention to his new acquaintance. Merlin introduced himself, then an owl perched on his head did the same, calling himself Archimedes. Remarkable! The owl must have been enchanted!
The prince smiled and nodded. "It's a pleasure, Sirs." He removed his hat and bowed gracefully. "I'm Prince Ferdinand, and this is my faithful steed, Kaiser." he said as he stood back up and glanced at his horse. Kaiser snorted again and moved his hooves a little, letting his tail sway. "We're both very glad to meet you."
