The Disney Mudbowl! (Football Plot)

[Warren Peace]

Amongst the finery of the Grand Floridian resort, a very far cry from luxury was about to happen.

Can anyone say FOOTBALL?

One of the sprawling lawns surrounding the hotel was all ready for the game that drove America wild, marked out with white boundary lines and end zones.

Warren squatted along the sidelines, busy strapping pads on to himself. No sissy touch-football here... They were gonna tackle each other senseless!

Warren gave the opposing team a quick once-over. Jim was so going down... The pyro gave the other teenager on the opposite side of the field a taunting thumbs-down. Jim stuck out his toungue and smacked his butt. Boys...

Warren unpacked a few duffel bags, taking out enough padding and jerseys for the whole team. Warren slipped his own jersey over his head, decked out in red and orange, the Infernos. On the opposite sidelines, the Supernovas were to wear navy blue and white.

Warren brushed eye-black on his cheekbones and looked up at the sky. Those clouds didn't look too good... It had been sunny earlier, and now it looked as if it were to rain! Warren shrugged off his worries and tossed a football up and down.

"Any questions about the rules?" Warren asked the rest of his team.

Jim pulled his own navy-blue jersey over his padding, checking out his team. Warren had showed him the earth game not too long ago, and Jim had been hooked from the start. When the pyro had suggested playing it, Jim nearly threw a fit out of joy.

The Montressorian tried on his helmet, trying to get his ponytail to lie flat. Jim absentmindedly wondered if football could be played in the rain... it certainly looked light rain up above.

Jim glanced over at the Inferos and took a lead from Warren, who was briefing his team.

"Right, any questions?" Jim asked the rest of the Supernovas.

The gypsy resumed his colorful entertainment, made dramatic signs and gestures to to the children that gathered round, and invited that air of youthful energy that would shape the thriving imagination into a world much unlike the earth.

He fueled the minds of children with life, play, and adventure. And with this, just this, he made his grand finish and noticed a grand, beautiful stadium that simply reeked of a playful escapade. A charming smirk graced his lips.

“Ah, my dear children, I’m afraid I will have to leave you at such short notice for a very important event! Fear not, you may watch! I have learned the art of this ‘football’! Toodles!” he exclaimed, tucking away his faithful puppet. A few children sprinted away to their designated seats, wide-eyed and forever beaming.

"After all," he half thought to himself, "what chance do they have in a playful scuffle against the King of the Gypsies?" he sat placidly over the rail and mocked Jim with a zany smile.

“I must say you’re going down, my fine fellow!” he exclaimed with a haughty air, not meaning his words out of malice but of mere play. “Blow your sister a kiss for this humble gypsy, will you?”

He listened to Warren carefully afterwards and arched an eyebrow. This game didn’t seem complex – he was as good as gold.

"Let's spread a little anarchy, shall we?" he said playfully, flipping his rather sharp dagger as if it were a toy. He tucked it away and made a little sign that he was joking ...

Halfly.

Sort of.

Lady Tremaine entered the football field after her rp'er had given her the choice of participating in this thread, or Lucifer would be used as the main course in a Chinese Chop suey at the nexy gypsy party Esmeralda would be planning. She was not happy to wear the football outfit at all, and she glared over at Clopin.

"One word to your daughter about me in this outfit, and she will burn. And so will the rest of your people. Get it gypsy? GOOD! You want anarchy. I'll give you anarchy. Starting with that darling daughter of yours....."

She went over to Jim and gave him an ice cold smile.

"I am ready, pirate boy. Let's kill.... I mean play."

[Milo Thatch]

Milo ... playing football. That's certainly something nobody would have ever predicted. All the football players back when Milo was in high school were huge, muscular and intimidating guys. Nothing like skinny, timid, and nerdy Milo. Milo always preferred books over sports any day.

Yet, here he was, listenting intently as Jim described the rules of the game. Milo knew the rules - what American kid didn't? - but he could tell already that his skills were going to be rusty. He had never actually played the game before.

Milo put his hand up hesitantly. "Uh, I have a question. Can we change our team name to 'The Atlanteans'?"

Edna cannot understand how they do it in this sport called football. She understand that it was apparently a favorite sport to watch by Mr Incredible and Frozone but how can these players play with the padding feels like tough work to catch a ball but from what she read the paddings were to keep them safe when they are to be tackled. "Hmmph, well if this is a way to have fun then fun they get" The designer said as she put on the jersey over the pads that covered a dark shirt that she had on underneath the pads, as she placed the helmet over her oddly enough helmet like hair making it a good fit as she approached the team led by Jim.

Esmeralda appeared the football field, and with a teasing grin made her way over to Warren. She put on her football equipment and turned to Warren with a smile.

"Hey, Warren. We didn't have this game in France in my time. What am I supposed to do? Cool outfits by the way! And I love our team's name!"

She nodded against the spectators area, where Djali was dressed up in a cheerleader outfit. The goat was pouting because of the red bowties attached to his tiny horns, and tried to pretend he wasn't there.

"I even brought us a fan to cheer for us," she laughed.

[Audrey Ramirez]

Audrey stood off to the sidelines off her team glaring at the opposing memebers. They. Were. Dead. There was no way she was missing a golden oppurtunity like this, especially when Milo was on the opposing team, that squirt was gonna' get it. And of course there was an unexplained joy to winning.

Audry watched Warren dubiously as he explained the rules. Don't get tackled, score a point. Easy enough. Her only problem was how girly could shelook when she was breaking bones? The guy seemed okay, but she didn't want him to start thinking of her as a tough tom boy. Oh well, some things a girl just had to sacrifice.

Audrey cautiously weighed the quipment in her hands. Did she really want to wear these, they wouldn't be that useful would they? Well things were starting to get heated and she might as well take a few precautions, game on.

There was certainly excitment and pre-existing thrill between the gathering horde. It seemed as though there escaped from her, at least according to her sense of play and daring, a fear of getting hurt.

Nani was no longer the loving mother, the tender protector, the mature and apprehensive guardian who insisted that she kiss away one’s pain. No. She was going to make them all kiss her butt whether they liked it or not.

She emerged clad in her navy jersey and intimidating gear. Her legs looked huge in her in-your-face apparel, which gave her once-delicate frame a daunting air. “Oh, really?” she said to the gypsy, arching an eyebrow.

No one messes with Jim and crawls out unscathed.

“You’re going down so hard, you’re gonna to see hell by the time I score that touchdown with your face.” She snapped, pressing a hand to her hip. That’s right. She was going down with her bad self.

"The Atlanteans? Oh, Milo! We already talked about this yesterday..." she scowled, looking grumpy. Yes, he was on her team and she loved him very much, but the name just made her want to crawl inside a trash can.

She turned her attention back to her team and blinked. "What?"

Jim shouted something rather obscene to Clopin from across the field, then turned back to his team. Aw, man... he got the old lady on his team. At least she seemed to be very into the game, maybe even a little too much... Jim shuddered. He really hoped she hadn't meant all that anarchy stuff...

Jim rolled his eyes at Milo. "Dream on." He said as he tossed the nerd a football.

Warren
"My god..." Warren facepalmed as he saw Esme's poor, abused goat.

"Okay, okay... rules. We're keeping it simple, since we've got a bunch of people who've never even picked up a football before..." Warren glanced at Milo on the opposite team.

Warren handed Esme a football. "If you're on offense, all you have to do is get this ball over to the opposite side of the field. Oh yeah, and people are going to be tackling you to try and stop ya."

Warren shrugged. "That's what the gear is for... And if you're on defense, then you get to tackle whoever has the ball. Got it?"

Warren grinned. "We've taken out A LOT of the rules, so you can use whatever abilities you might have..." Warren ignited a fist. "But I'm pretty sure you should put the dagger away." he said to Clopin, snatching the weapon.

[Chicken Little]

Chicken looked a bit nervous while clad in the football wear of the navy blue jersey over the padding as he realized he wasn't just playing any sport it was FOOTBALL..The bird gulped in fear about this sport, he has played Baseball and Dodgeball back at Oakey oakes but he never thought he played this sport. "Come on Chicken don't freak out remember Todays a New Day Todays a New Day Todays a New day" he reminded himself as he put on the football helmet and reached Jim Hawkins team tripping in the process.

Maid Marian and Lady Cluck entered the seats for the spectators. They brought with them soft cushions, since Lady Cluck mentioned they might notice the wooden benches after a certain amount of time.

"And," she winked at Maid Marian "I refuse to say where...."

Maid Marian placed the cushions on the front row. They had got the best seats and could see everyone. Marian sighed deeply. She wished Robin had been here with her. Knowing him, however, he would probably be out on the field, trying to impress her. As if she wasn't impressed enough already.

Her dark brown eyes under long, dark eyelashes looked over at Clopin, and she gave him a shy little smile.

[Cornelius Robinson]

“You’re going down so hard, you’re gonna to see hell by the time I score that touchdown with your face.”

These words, uttered in a tone of sass and reproof, attracted the attention of the silent inventor. He was, as far as she was concerned, infinitely amused.

His profile, although delicate and slender, had something powerful and severe about it; his blue eyes sparkled with the very same fire the Hawaiian had in her eyes, just his were a little more conservative that’s all. It was expected of Cornelius to display his hesitance, but he’d get over it with a little team effort. Too bad his football garb didn’t seem to express that determination, for he struggled in them.

They were HEAVY.

“I certainly don’t make the teapot whistle. That's for sure ...” He said feebly, loud enough for only his team to hear. He wrinkled his nose at Milo’s suggestion.

“Good one.”

[Winnie the Pooh]

Pooh had seen everyone gathering, a few faces he recognized and a few others he didn’t. He’d heard about some sort of game where you threw a ball around and ran after it, he knew it was supposed to be held somewhere around here, but he wasn’t sure if this was the place. Moving towards the field with great curiosity he noticed Maid Marian and Lady Cluck seated in the audience and he wandered up to them with a smile.

“Hello Maid Marian, hello Lady Cluck,” he said grinning, than looking back towards the game where everyone was getting ready to play. “You wouldn’t happen to know if this is the game that’s supposed to go on soon... would you?”

The fox strutted up the rickety steps of the bleachers, rudely shoving people out of the way who had reserved their seats far before he did. He glanced around hastily, trying to find just the right spot. He wasn't really rooting for either side of the teams but he wasn't about to pass up a chance to watch a bunch of idiots crush each other either. Digging his hand into the pocket of a middle aged woman quickly and swiping her wallet, he continued to trudge around, scoping for a good place to sit.

The vicious animal's gaze rested on a familiar face and his furry lips twisted into a slick grin as he cantered over to another fox, a female and regal looking one. Her majestic appearance contrasted greatly with his slovenly one but that didn't change his wicked attitude. Acting as though he was still above her, he bumped Maid Marian roughly out of the seat and spat, "One side, princess. Dis is mah pos' now..."

The fox flashed her and Lady Cluck a haughty grin, completely disregarding their positions like the insolent little rat he was.
