OKay, I had seen the trailer for the movie at a Bookshop in release of the new book of the series Breaking Dawn. So I decided to go and read the book. I am loving it so far and just got it this afternoon and on page 134. I just wanted to know what you think of the books and what you like so much about it.

No offence Ethan but I DESPISE the Twilight series.
I only read the first book and it just made me mad. I saw Bella as a COMPLETE mary-sue {I despise mary-sues with a burning passion} and the book was just boring how she spent like her whole time 'secretly' loving the vampire along with every other guy in the series practically. His name was Edward I think {Read the book awhile ago}. I mean what the hell kind of a love relationship is this? I would say some pretty bad stuff about her now but I'm attempting at keeping the review to a G rating.
But yeah this is one of the most overrated book series. I LOVE vampire books so I thought I would like the Twilight series. I couldn't even get myself to read the second one since I hated the first one that much.
If you want a good vampire book, Dangerous Girls by R.L. Stine is EXCELLENT. It had a great ending. And if you want one even better check out Those Who Hunt The Night by Barbara Hambly. That book ROCKS. Its a masterpiece and one of my favorite novels.
Twilight is just overrated and an awful love story IMO.
Please don't get offended but these are just my opinions and I tend to rant about things I despise. Believe me my Twilight rants are usually much longer xD. And yes the lovers do attack me.

I dont bad mouth people's opinions. They all have them. Hey, even some hate the Harry Potter series. I think people have the right to talk about what they like or dislike. In the end, it nly really matters what I want to read haha. But yeah, I am noticing there are a lot of vampire books out now. I have read another called "Marked" but that is another story.

I'm reading the first book, for the first time. I'm quite sure I'm the last person on Earth to do so, but that's usually how things are with me (Facebook, cell phones, etc.). So my opinion...
I think it's just okay. Not as stellar as I thought it would be, but it's fairly good. I think maybe I set my expectations too high - because all of my friends love it. I will go see the movie though - I'm a big Kristin Stewart fan.

I finished the first book in one week and thought it was quite a thriller. The romance, I find kind of cheesy (my friends think I'm too cynical about romance). But then again, the suspense really overwhelmed me (in a good way of course). Heh, toward the ending I couldn't put the book down 'cause I was that excited.
My favorite is Alice Cullen. I just love her positivity.
Anyways, about the movie, I do not like the choice for Bella (Kristin Stewart). Her appearance is alright, but I dislike how deep her voice is. I think her voice just kinda kills the mood during the romance. Edward (Robert Pattinson), I do like Robert because I've seen him in Harry Potter. But...I think he's too goofy looking to play Edward. And the hair, makes him look like he just woke up. I wanted a more serious actor to play him. I imagined Edward with hair that would cover his eyes. At least, I find mysterious guys as that.
I haven't started New Moon yet...I just bought it.

I absolutely loved this series, each book I finished in four hours... And I ended up making a site for it. I went to the release party for breaking dawn and had a BLAST. The cast they set isn't my favorite but I'm still very excited about the movie. I hear that S.M said that the chemisty between K. and R. is awesome and that you should bring a bag b/c of just how good it is, which makes me squeal in girlish delight.
I got into the series really early on, like a few months before the book was sold in stores. My school is one of those schools who happens to get the newly released books early b/c our book club helps with the reviews or whatever. My WHOLE school fell in love with the book. I sooo can't wait for Edward's POV to come out!!

I love the series. I'm almost done with Breaking Dawn. Arista, it pains me to tell you this, because the news was heartbreaking, but Stephenie Meyer no longer working on Midnight Sun. Apparently so much of the book got leaked out, and she was so upset about it that she isn't planning to continue the book. Such a shame, because I was really looking forward to reading that book. news.yahoo.com/story//nm/20080903/lf_nm_life/books_meyer_dcI really hope she changes her mind.

Whoosh I hadn't heard that yet. I did hear about the book being leaked but I didn't see anything on her website about not continueing Midnight Sun. Thats totally not fair just not to continue it. So many fans will be disappointed about this. I mean I am sorry that so much was leaked but

It is a bummer. She did post what she had written on her website, but I'm so sad she's not planning to finish it.
You're right, it isn't fair to the fans that were waiting for the book, and because one stupid person betrayed her trust, we all gotta suffer for it.
Like I said, I'm really hoping she changes her mind. She said indefinitely, so it probably won't be forever, just a long time before she continues to work on it again.
