I remember the old celebrations - when they were for actual events. Walt Disney World's 25th, Walt Disney's 100th, and The Happiest Celebration on Earth. My favorite was probably 100 Years of Magic.
With that being said, I think the YOAMD was quite good. But this - ugghhh! It's awful that they're promoting the modern stuff, and almost totally forgetting Walt's films, and the modern classics that made them the company they are today. Now they're bulding they're company off of Miley Cyrus and High School Musical.
And then taking away Ariel's Grotto? The staple of my Disney-Going as a kid! And then replacing it with this Pixie Hollow junk? Of course, Tinkerbell is a classic character, and at least they're not replacing it with the "Hannah Montana Concert Stage" or something. But seriously - making a new franchise about 50 years after the original Peter Pan [and making it CGI] is a bit wrong. It's like they have so little creativity that they're recycling old characters!
I'm just holding out with hope knowing that High School Musical and Hannah Montana are just phases. Soon enough, the world will get tired of it, and Disney will rediscover what made them great. Hopefully The Princess and the Frog will show them.

Wow! Snazzy birthday party for Miley Cyrus...
I think it'd be great to have birthday there ... but still 1,000 dollars?!

^^But it wasn't $1000 to get in. $250 I believe, and to get in on a regular day is like $60. Anyways, 5,000 guests showed up. And pretty much everything that was available was all under Miley Cyrus's approval or favorites. She only opened her favorite attractions to those who attended. The others she didn't favor too much were closed. Not really worth the money, eh?
And I also read that, although her real birthday is only a month away, she particularly chose October 5th because there is an unofficial holiday (I won't say it since it's rather offensive) that is quite popular in DL. But anyways, people who celebrate this particular holiday enjoy going to Disneyland for the day, but this year, Miley Cyrus pretty much booted them out because of their views. She pretty much ruined the holiday for those who celebrate it. Now, talk about discrimination. Not really a positive role model for her fans >.> But anyways, you can look up the full story online.
Although I don't hate Miley, honestly. But I'm not a huge fan. She really hasn't done anything far out horrible for me to really dislike her. At least, for now...

Yeah they were talking about it on some TV show. Now I'm really curious what this "Holiday" is! There were alot of celebrities that attended, and that's very diva-ish of her to practically take over Disney Land ...
And I agree, I don't hate her, but I don't favour her soo much.
Edit: >_< Can anyone tell me what the un-official holiday is in a PM? *is super curious* D: My curiousity can be a curse at times.

Oh yeah! I've seen this commercial before! I didn't pay too much attention but I do like the balloon idea. I've seen alot of other ads on Yahoo for it.
