<<Aurora hasn't posted anywhere since April 1st.
Now, I don't think she's left forever. Nor do I want to be cruel or hurt anyone's feelings. But...
Am I within my rights as originator of the thread to give her role to someone else? After waiting a reasonable amount of time, that is.
What do you all think?
In any case, I wouldn't do anything until the Easter break is over on Tuesday, as many people are just too busy with holiday stuff to post.>>

[Aurora told me over chat the other day she doesn't have much time for RPing, so we should set up a search for a new Leia. -nod nod- ]

Clad in a white dress, with her brown hair up in two familiar side-buns, Princess Leia Porter-Organa hid in fear from the Stormtroopers - and the awful, tyrannical Darth Ego Vader. As long as she hid herself, she would avoid capture. She could not let the Death Star plans fall into the wrong hands. She only had one last hope for the Galaxy.
Earlier, she had recorded a message on a droid - PEN-E - to be sent to an old ally of the Jedi.
"Help me Obi-Wan Kanani. You're my only hope," she had said.
If only the message could get out to him. Leia prayed with all of her might that it could. This was not just for her, but for her people, and her planet. She sighed. Alderaan. How she missed that place. Would she ever see it again?

The Stormtroopers fanned out, searching the ship for the rebel princess.
It was trooper 007 who spotted her first. "Ai, she is very beautiful! Almost too beautiful to shoot."
Almost, but not quite. One zap from a blaster was all it took to stun the girl.
As the plastic-clad soldiers gathered around the fallen form, 221 volunteered, "Quizás I should give her the, how you say, mouth to mouth resuscitation?"
This comment started a furious battle among the clones, which ended in a few minor dismemberments, before they finally agreed together to bring the unconscious princess before their master.

Meanwhile, back on Tatooine...
Gadget, the chief of the Jawas, was spending the day trudging through the desert wastes, searching for cast-off metal, spare parts, and other bits of junk.
Of course, that's what she did every day. Except when the Jawas found something. Then she spent the day in her giant sandcrawler, taking things apart, putting them together, repairing, rewiring, and all that stuff.
But not today. They hadn't found anything worth salvaging.
Suddenly, the tiny scavenger heard a strain of lovely music. Actually it was the hum of a small motor of some kind. But any engine noise was music to her ears.
Gadget motioned the rest of her Jawa band to silence and, climbing to the top of a rock outcropping, peered over. The all-pervading sun glinted off her sand-goggles, giving the impression of two glowing eyes beneath her cloak.
"Golly! It's a droid!" she whispered to herself. What a find! A working machine instead of rusty junk!
Readying her weapon, the Jawa chief waited for the little bot to come within range.
