"Pinocchio! Pinocchio! Ohh! Are you hiding from me?" The child cupped her mouth. The puppet child could be anywhere.. could he hear her cry? "Now, could he have perhaps waken himself up? Oh, if only I could open my eyes right now and see he is safe! But then, how would I return to find himself still lost?"
"Ohh! I should not have repimanded him! It's all my felt I seldom keep my dignity down! Now, perhaps if I decide to follow along this odd trail of sweets.. will it lead me to him?" From a far distance, down below, came a threatening roar. A mighty beast had to be lurking down below! But could the boy be down a floor level? Alice never knew Wonderland even had floors.

Back in the taffy pit, Pinocchio was in the clutches of a greedy monster. "Look, whatever you want, I'll go, and that's exactly where I'm headed. I'm with a girl named Alice, and..." The monster didn't was to hear any more, for he was hungry and a big taffy whirlpool occured.

Goodness! It couldn't be an.. earthquake occuring? Alice could not stay still and tall on her feet, no matter how tiny they were to support her stature.. The ground was shaking violently, and she was soon on the ground with the incapibility of standing up again. "Now who might that be down there?!" she demanded with an impatient, irritable tone.
Out of the darkness came a number rainbow splash.. It came rushing toward the child like it was drawing toward a waterfall. Alice's own pull of tears? Oh, heaven's no! There was going to be no crying or wailing today. But at this moment, she needed to stop following her own advice, and run. Pinocchio was nowhere to be found.. She couldn't even hear him. The pool was nearing her by the second.. And her feet were becoming quite.. sticky! Augh!

Pinocchio bobbed up from the taffy pool. "Alice!" he cried. Before he knew it, he could barely move for the pit was like quicksand. "If you give me a hand, we'll be out of here in no time!"

The poor girl found her feet quite glued to the ground. The wretched taffy had caught up with Alice, and now her feet was fixed tight on the ground. She brushed her hair off of her usually prim and clean face, but now, it had.. hardened. It was now tangled from the taffy. For the countless time, she huffed again in vexation, this time proceeding to gritting her teeth.
Up from the pool came the puppet boy. "Why, there you are!!" she cried with impatience. She would have crossed her fine arms at the moment, but now, they were far too horrid to touch. The pool was moving too fast, and Alice could barely catch up with him. How was she to help him out of the pool? "How, how? There's too much taffy to bear through, you might as well have yourself a feast tonight!"
Although, that wouldn't be such a.. absurd decision..

Pinocchio shook his head. "I know this seems bad now, but...." As he tried to look for the right thing to say, but the big monster picked him up with smacking lips. For this did not look good for poor Pinocchio! He has been in predicaments before, but none like this.

"Oh.. my.. goodness!" she jumped at the sight of the wooden boy being hoisted up by a creature that immerged from the taffy mass. She gritted her teeth with determination - she had to save the boy before one of his wooden limbs could split!
"I will help you, Pinocchio!" she cried. She then proceeded to tapping her feet, formulating a plan to save the boy.. "Maybe.." She stuck her finger into the mass and brought forth a large clump of the taffy. "I wonder.." she mused, and then stuffed her mouth with her picking. Despite the appealing taste... "...nothing is happen-pen-pen-pen-ningggg!" Ooof! Where was she? Why did everything appear so far away. The taffy pool now surrounded her ankles, yet, Alice managed to stay perfectly still in place. "Oh, dear! Not again! I've grown again!" The wooden boy was barely in sight, she was much too tall to find him..

Pinocchio waved his arms. "I'm down here!" he shouted. He then spotted something that was too high. "Now I'm over here and found an escape. You're big enough to get us out!" Pinocchio hoped this would be true and he could be somewhere better.

The advantage of being too tall: Alice's feet were able to stay put on the ground. The wave of taffy failed to carry her away, as it did with the wooden boy. Down in the pink wave, Pinocchio screamed to her. She was quite thankful she could even hear the poor, unfortunate boy cry for help! How he needed her to escape a painful demise in such a dangerous world..
She bent down, and with her clean fingers (which were now covered in pink, due to the messy taffy substance) she picked up the boy. His wooden limbs were literally stuck to the taffy, and Alice had to pull him out with both hands! She was cautious to not crush his head, but successful, his last limb was out of that mess! "There, Pinocchio! Now, where might I find the exit?"
And for her sake, how would she grow back to five feet again?

Pinocchio looked around, but before he could speak, a big opening was available for the two to get through. Once out, Pinocchio shook his head. "Phew! What a wild ride. Reminded me of that Raggedy Ann movie I saw once. Where do you want to go now, and I have a feeling you want your normal height back, right?"

The wooden boy she had plucked from the pools had escaped from her fingers! "Oh, don't tell me I lost you again, Pinocchio!" started the angry child with a frustrated glare.
In another blink of her large eyes, they were back from where they started. The two naive children had escaped, mysteriously, from the odd sort of Wonderland adventure..
She rubbed her eyes before seeing the light of the earth they stood on. She then sneezed, before realizing that she had just caused a puff of cloud to zoom away. Alice heaved a hopeless sigh; she was stuck at this height.
"Now my head is really in the clouds!" she wailed to Pinocchio, who was down below, safe and sound.. for now.

Pinocchio was sorry to hear about poor Alice's predicament of staying a giant. He walked along, and then saw a giant beanstalk. He looked at Alice. "Just like in the fairy--" Before he could finish, a wicked witch reached out and grabbed him! Pinocchio was sure to be doomed now.

Far below grew a long green beanstalk. It was taller than Alice; it went passed the clouds. If the girl were hungry now, she'd sure take a large bite out of that unusual green plant.
Pinocchio had examined the beanstalk as well. Infact, he took quite an interest in it, he might as well climb up. Down below he muttered something. but he was too fardown below for Alice to hear. But with two blinks of her now large round eyes, nothing remained down there.. "Pinocchio?" she called out. She carefully bent down to sink her eyes lower toward the ground for a better view. There was still not a single boy, let alone wooden boy, lurking down there.. "Pinocchio! You don't suppose you're missing again?" She stood up with her hands on her hips. How miserable and disastrous today was! So frustrated was she, she'd go mad right about now!

Inside the witch's gingerbread house, Pinocchio was chained to a wall. "You can't push me around like this!" he screamed at the witch, who silenced him, and read a recipe, then smiled evilly. "You'll make good in a special cake will you not? NOw don't move while I get things ready, and no talking!" With that she left the room, and the poor wooden boy was white with terror. Where was Alice when he needed her?

She wiped off some sweat from her brow. She was growing quite distasteful of the atmosphere above the clouds. She'd very much prefer being under them!
"How inconvenient it is now to be hungry!" she wailed with look of anguish as she searched for a piece of edible food. It'd be impossible to somehow find any; they were too small to see, or to even smell! "I wonder where that taffy pool might have flown..." she muttered.
But something rather large caught her eye from above the clouds. Down below seemed to be graham crackers, fashioned together like a house. Heaven forbid there were any dwellers. Only a simpleton would want to live a house that could be feasted on my animals.. mainly children! However, Alice was a hungry child now. Her now tall stature needed to be fed. With her fingers she plucked out the roof.
