Panchito mentioned that he once dated a girl named Frances... "Oh, don't even start." he said, as his eyes narrowed.
"Thank you. Yes, I have thought about that..." he said sarcastic as he bathed his long eyelashes. The ladybugs' images have been twisted since the humans first named them ladybugs. The only way to tell the male ladybugs from the females was the size. Male ladybugs tended to be smaller than the females.

"You could dress like the vacquero...what the grin--sorry, the Yankees call, the cowboy. Nothing is more macho than the cowboy."
But where could they find cowboy gear tiny enough for Francis? <<Maybe we need Edna's help!>>
"Did you ever think to maybe grow la barba? The beard and mustache?"

Francis liked the idea of dressing up as something as macho as a cowboy. But when Panchito mentioned that he should grow a beard and a moustache, he put his hands on his, errm, hips and smacked with his lips. "Excuse me? A beard and a moustache? And you seriously think a ladybug can grow that?" He was after all just a bug. "But I like the idea of dressing up as a cowboy. Francis the cow-bug..." he said dreamily.

The rooster just shrugged. He'd never talked with a bug before, and didn't know any of that personal information about them.
"So very glad you like the idea, mi amigo. But where will we get the clothes for you?"
"You will need the spurs and the holster and the ten-gallon hat...hmmm, ten gallons seems like maybe too much, si?"

Edna was casually walking down the path at Echo Lake as she looked around wondering what the fashionista should do today when she looked up and noticed a familiar bird that she saw before. She recognized it as the spanish bird that was among those captured by the female alien before and was a bit curious in what he was up to.

Panchito took off his sombrero as the woman approached. Although they had hardly met, he remembered her from the mudbowl and that incident with the aliens.
The rooster secretly hoped she would not bring that up; it was muy embarazoso for him to have been captured by a girl. And worse, rescued by a girl.
"Buenos dias, Senora Edna. How nice to see you again. Have you meet mi amigo Francis?" asked Panchito, indicating the ladybug.

"Oh Nice to meet you again Panchito" Edna said with a grin as she noticed the bird was carrying what appeared to be a ladybug as she looked a bit curious about the bug. "Hmmmm a small little bug" she said moving her specs a bit

"Small, little bug??? Well, have you looked yourself in the mirror, lady?" said Francis, crossing his arms. He obviously didn't like it when people called him small, or when they mistook him for a girl. He felt like such a drag-queen, and hoped there existed cowboy uniforms for bugs. Francis the cowbug... he liked the sound if it.

Edna was taken aback by the ladybug's remark to her as she looked a bit furious. "Quite the agressive one are?" She turned to Panchito "What seems to be the bugs problem?"

"Francis wants the new image. He wants to look muy macho, so I think maybe the cowboy look is good for him, yes?"
"But where do we find the clothes so pequeño...so very small for a bug?"
Women knew more about clothes and shopping, so maybe Edna could help them out.

Edna was a bit intrigued as she scanned the male ladybug a bit "Hmm a cowboy look you say. Well now it will be a bit of a challenge according to the size but i think i can try yet what will be a good color to make it say bold and manly?" She added

"Los colores?" Panchito scratched the back of his head in a puzzled way. He'd never thought of colors as being manly or not. Except pink, of course, which was girly.
The rooster, in true Mexican fashion, loved bright colors. The more, the better.
"I think maybe lots and lots of bright colors. Rojo, I mean, red...and green...and purple...and azul...and yellow...all the colors, no?"

Edna listened on to Panchitos thoughts for colors and was a bit impressed by his ideas. "Oh yes of course marvelous suggestions very marvelous indeed but to be honest it should be fair what the insect thinks is the perfect color oh what would Francis think is the perfect color. Don't be shy what is your favorite color insect?" She said looking at Francis with a little scope to see him very well.

Francis listened to them intently as they discussed the suit he would get, and if they looked at him very precisely, they would see how he beamed with joy. He felt like the king of the world! But when they started asking him about his opinion, he shrugged. "Err, brown? Seriously, I don't know..." he said, and felt as needless as a dog at a tea party.

How lucky for them that a lady who could sew just happened to come along.
"But, senora, how can you make the clothes so muy pequino? So very tiny for a bug?"
