Remy had been wandering around in Fantasyland when he saw a sign that told him that he was about to enter Mad Hatter Tea Party. He decided to come and join it, only to find that he was alone. But he shrugged and climbed upon the table, finding himself a spot to sit down at the white tablecloth. This didn't seem like a closed area, and Remy hoped he was allowed to have a cup of tea there, and maybe something to eat as well. He was hungry, and was running out of reasons not to eat there. He found a picnic basket at the middle of the oblong table. Weird, he thought. The place was after all empty. Curious as he was (we are after all speaking of a rat), Remy looked into the basket to see if it contained any food, and see if the food had ran out of date. In the basket, Remy found a bunch of green grapes, still firm, some crackers and cheese. None of it had ran out of date, luckily for Remy, who was ecstatic to find... "Both brie, roquefort and cheese spread. And what do I find here? - Tomme de chévre de pays!" He knew there were mushrooms in the forest, and there were also some spices in the basket. Rosemary... And then a familiar word came to his mind; Lightningy... He missed Emile, his brother. A sigh escaped his lips. But he shook his head, shook Emile and homesickness out of his head. It was time for food! He leaped down the table (the table wasn't too tall) and ran back into the forest. There were some chantarelles there hidden behind an oak tree and he wondered how that would go with the cheese spread from the basket. And maybe if he added some basil, it would be quite delicious! Remy got so enthusiastic that he eventually forgot all about his homesickness. He picked a couple of mushrooms with his mouth and walked on his hindlegs to the table, climbing back to the spot where he was sitting. He added the cheese to one of them, and sprinkled it with basil. He would rather eat fresh basil, but he was glad to find basil anyway. And it tasted delicious, even though he didn't cook it.

Now, don't think that Panchito was heading for the Mad Hatter's Tea Party. Once you've had Argentinian mate, you don't think much of English tea.
No, the vacquero was simply taking a shortcut on his way to the Jungle Cruise in Adventureland. He'd heard the cruise skippers were very funny, so he decided to check it out.
As he sauntered past the tea table, Panchito noticed a rat eating happily. "Hola, little friend. Can you tell me which way it is to el Crucero de la Selva...the Jungle Cruise?"

"Salut!" Remy said back once he had swallowed the first bite. "I'm not really sure where the jungle cruise is, maybe you could try to go left after the sign?" Remy himself wasn't here for the jungle cruise, so he didn't know. But according to what he had seen on a map, it was the left way. After he was done eating the cheese-covered mushroom, Remy took the other mushroom and just ate it plain.

"Gracias. I will try that."
Panchito looked around at the table spread with eatables. It seemed like a lot of food for just one small rat.
" 'ey, amigo, do you mind if I take a little something for myself?" he asked, indicating the picnic basket.

"Oh, just take whatever you want, I'm almost done now!" Remy rubbed his stomach, he was practically bloated! The food was now lying all over the table, as Remy had taken it out of the basket when he was looking for spices and cheese.
"And there are lots of fruits and mushrooms in the forest!" He pointed out in the forest, his eyes focusing on a peach tree. Oh, he would give all he had for a peach right now, for dessert! But he would never manage to climb up that tree, it didn't have any branches close enough for him to climb on. He took a grape instead.

Using whatever was available, the rooster began to make himself a quick sandwich. Form his pocket, he produced the finishing touch: a bottle of hot sauce.
Panchito loaded on the sauce and wrapped his sandwich in a napkin, preparing to take it with him and continue his walk to Adventureland.
"Adios, amigo. I see you around maybe."

"Á tout à l'heure! (see you soon)" He waved back to the rooster who walked away with the sandwich.
Hmm, maybe it was time to have something to drink? Remy was thirsty. He climbed down the table again to see in the cupboard he just noticed by the table. He found some glasses, syrup, rum and wine. It was red, his favorite. And it was vintage.
He found himself a little shot glass and managed to slide it out of the cupborad. Then came the hardest part: to open the wine bottle. He climbed on top of the bottle for an attempt to bite off the cork. It was successfull, and made him believe that he could climb down again and upset the bottle to pour wine into the glass.
Well. He managed to upset it, and he managed to pour some of the wine into the glass, but he also managed to lose the whole bottle and spill the rest of the wine all over the place where he was standing, and his fur. "Nonononooo!! Wine in the eye, wineintheeye!" But it tasted good, just as good as fine vintage wine should taste...
The sun was shining, so it would take long until it would start to rain, but Remy hoped it wouldn't take too long. He cleaned himself, and took it for granted that the rain would come and clean the lawn later.
Then he could enjoy the wine in the little shot glass, lapping it up.

( Is it too late to join? *blows life in thread*)
Between the trees of the edge of fantasyland a lonesome wanderer roamed, with birds and sqiurrels as his only witnesses. Maybe one or two wide eyed tourist catched his shadowy form from the corner of their eyes, and afterward swore they`d seen a ghost.
Quasi paused his wandering for a moment, as he spotted the picnic table on an open place. Well it weren`t as much the table or basket itself that caught his eye, more the rat sitting beside the basket drinking wine of a glass.
The blue shade of the rat`s fur along with it`s rather expensive drinking habits lead his thoughts to his eccentric shapeshifting buddy Merlin..

(Yay! I LOVE Quaimodo!)
Remy noticed the phantom-like figure who was standing, perhaps hiding, by a tree. He was starting to feel a little tipsy, and happy, so he was glad to find company, any company would do. "Hello! Come and join me! The wine is *hicka* delicious!" His fur was still wet from the wine, and he started, or more correctly, tried, to clean it off.

Quasi gave a small smile as he went over to the rat, realizing it weren`t Merlin, no matter the recemblance.
Hi, he greeted shyly, as he reached the somewhat drunken rat. At the sight of it`s whet fur, he got a glimpse of humor in his eyes, as he came to think of the saying "like a drowned rat."
Having a picnic all by yourself? he questioned, still a bit shyly.

"Yes, but I'm glad to *hicka* have some company!" He gave him a drowsy smile. "Are you hungry? You should try the cheese! They even have tomme de chévre de pays! *Hicka*" He was done with cleaning himself, or have given up on it, and let the sun do the rest. Anyway, he would smell like the delicious wine! Or just a common female alcoholic...
