It had only been a day, but Rosetta was having the time of her life on the Mainland. All of the sights, the smells, the flowers! Although she missed her friends in Pixie Hollow, she felt like she could stay here for a very long time.
She flew around this interesting new place. Of course, it was easy for a little fairy to get lost in such a busy place, but this area seemed to be a little calmer. A nice little resting place.
Rosetta began to sing a little tune to herself.
"La la, la la la la! I'm gonna be pop-u-lar!"

Audrey sat on a bench bored as could be.She twiddled with a screw she'd found in her pocket. She let out a sigh and put her head in her hand unhappily. Suddenly a grating sound came into her field of hearing. -I'm gonna be pop-u-lar "Oh my god, who is singing?" She yelled out to the crowd. Audrey zeroed in on a strange little bug... it looked like a... person? "Um excuse me?" She asked to the little... thing. "Can you stop?"

"Um, excuse me? Can you stop?"
Rosetta paused in midair, wondering who just said that, and if they were talking to her. Well, Rosetta didn't hear anyone else singing. She turned around, to see a rather somber looking girl sitting on a bench. She was dressed in a sloppy manner, in coveralls and a floppy hat. Rosetta didn't usually judge by appearances, but she could tell by the girl's facial expression that something was wrong.
A half-sympathetic, half-enthused smirk came across Rosetta's face. Well somebody's feeling gloomy, she thought. Out of pure instinct, she flew over and sat on the girl's shoulder.
"Aw, what's the matter sugar? It's okay, you can tell me. Did a boy break your heart?"

"Um excuse me." Audrey growled angrily as the little fairy asked her about her problems. "Even if you were right which you are not! Why would I tell you." Ouch, it hurt to bring up Milo, but she wasn't going to worry about a jerk like him. Why did this little fairy have to be bang on with her accusations.
"Not like he would like me anyway." She mumbled dejectedly staring down at her feet. Who would give up Kida for some tomboy like herself, she wasn't a pretty girl, guys didn't like girls who knew more about screws than make-up.

Rosetta gasped, and smiled. So it was a boy! Oh, the poor dear! Rosetta couldn't bear to see someone sad. Luckily, she knew the exact way to cheer her up! She sympathetically rubbed the girl's shoulder.
"Aw, sugar! It's okay - I know how to make him notice you!" She swiftly flew off of her shoulder, and prepared to sing. "Ahem," she began:
Whenever I see someone less fortunate than I, My tender heart tends to start to bleed And when somenoe needs a makeover, I simply have to takeover! I know exactly what they need!
Out of nowhere, and orchestra seemed to kick in. Rosetta looked, and to her delight, the band in the middle of the square began to accompany her! "Oh, you know this song too?" She asked in happiness. "Oh, how perfect!"
Popular! I'll help you be popu-ular! I'll teach you the proper ploys, When you talk to boys! Little ways to flirt and flounce!
Oh! I'll show you what shoes to wear, How to fix your hair! And there's nothing that can stop you, From becoming popular!
"Now! Lets get to work!"

((Audrey: *headdesk* Me: Your getting a make-over and your going to like it!))
What the heck was with this... thing? "Um listen, dude, I don't sing and I really don't need help from a girl who's smaller than my hand." Audrey glared at the little pixie, what did she now about her boy troubles? Like this could fix it. But what if it could. She knew that her chances of getting a Milo were basically none, but wouldn't it be nice if just one guy could actually look at her and think she was pretty? Audrey fought angrily with herself. She was proud of who she was, but sometimes she wished she could be different.
"Umm you're not going to mess up my face are you I mean because, I guess I could let you umm give me a make over or whatever, if you really want to that is." Audrey was actually relatively excited of the prospect of looking pretty, but she couldn't show it yet. This seemed too good to be true.

"Why, of course I won't mess up your face! I'm going to give you the best confidence-booster of all! That boy will be crawlin' back in no time flat!"
Rosetta giggled in absolute glee. This was going to be so much fun! Not only was she helping out a friend in need, she was also getting to ability to flex her beautifying skills. Then maybe this girl would stop moping, and get some confidence!
"Now, just leave it all to Rosetta! Why, back in Pixie Hollow, I found out all the greatest secrets! Say, did you know that a rose petal is the secret to perfect lips?!"

"Crawling back to me? I don't think so, but at least I can make his little girlfriend jealous." Audrey sighed, there was no way he would peel of his little atlantean, but she could at least make Kida jealous if she was lucky. "Perfect lips, umm ya. Great." Audrey replied dubiously. She wan't a beauty expert so she couldn't say anything, but so much makeup scared her, pink, blue, red it was all too much. How could this stuff actually go on ones face without looking like a clown.
"Oh and um thanks, I mean you know people don't normally think of me as pretty." Audrey blushed, she felt kind of bad for being so mean to this girl, she was just helping her. "Oh and I'm Audrey... uh Ramirez that is."

"Well sugar, I'm Rosetta!" Rosetta said, alread getting excited at the prospect of a makeover. "Now, lets get started!"
Rosetta hovered backwards to observe what exactly she was working with. Where could she start? Clearly, there was a lot to be done if she were to give this girl the confidence she needed. Maybe if I just start at the top, She pondered. Yes, that would work!
She flew back, drawing her attention to the top of the head. "Now, lets get this hat off!" She said, gripping it with her tiny hands. It was so heavy! Clearly, these things weren't made for fairies!
"Ugh," Rosetta said, struggling to pick it up. "Any ... minute ... now!"

"Yo no puedo creer esto.." Audrey murmured unhappily pulling her hat off for the tiny fairy. "I can't believe I'm letting a little pixie who can't even pull off my hat do my makeup." She said under her breath but held still as the little fairy flitted about.
"So I'm guessing you like makeup then...?" Audrey asked quizzically trying to create conversation. "Do you enjoy ding it? I've never really seen the point, I mean my dad raised me and my sister, and being a mechanic there is really no reason for that." She tried to remember all her reasons for never wearing makeup and choosing baggy clothes and tying back her hair in ponytails. Adrey had never been introdced to the whole comcept of beauty, her Dad hadn'texactly known what eye-liner was, and her sister only cared about being a boxer.

As the girl flung of the hat for her, it - along with Rosetta herself - went flying across the way. Rosetta let out a shrill, almost musical shriek as she went flying. Luckily, she landed up against a tree, with the hat cushioning her fall. These things are worse than Sprinting Thistles! Rosetta thought, deciding she'd never cross a hat like that again.
Leaving the hat behind - there was no use for it now - she flew back over to Audrey, ready to get right down to business.
"Well," Rosetta admitted. "I've only done it on myself before. This is actually my first makeover. But don't worry! I have faith in myself!" She said, with a little smile. "Now, what could we use for a hairbrush?"
Rosetta observed the little garden - you could always find the best things there. A twig wouldn't hold up, a full blown branch probably wouldn't either. Rosetta sighed and folded her arms - this was next to hopeless.
That is, until she saw it! A comb, lying there in the dirt! A lost thing! Sure, it wasn't the nicest one, but after it was cleaned up, it would do just fine!

"You've only ever done this thing on yourself?!?" Audrey gasped warily. This was just great an ovely excited fair with a shriek that could break glass was going to test try her fist try on a girl who looked plain on her best days! Audrey let out a sigh and cursed in spanish. "I swear if you mess this up little missy, your gonna' pay." She growed threateningly. Audrey wasn't one for doing such crazy things as... makeovers. Even the very word sounded horrifying.
"Your going to use that! ¡No puedo creer este, usted es loco!" She cursed loudly. "Nu uh, no way are using that on my hair, can't I at least have the dignity of a clean comb? Huh?" She asked sarcastically.

"Oh, come on! It's not that bad. It's nothing compared to what you get in Pixie Hollow," Rosetta inquired. Couldn't she just keep quiet! It was seriously messing up her karma, but somebody as polite as Rosetta wouldn't mention that.
Not caring what the girl said, Rosetta began to run the brush through her incredibly think dark hair. It was too thick, to be honest. Rosetta could barely move the brush through it! And seeing as she was such a tiny fairy, it was quite a task.
"Come .... on!" Rosetta coaxed the brush. Of course, her magic only worked on plants.
Of course ... plants! Rosetta forgot all about the brush in an instant, and instead set her new plan in motion.
"Stay right here, sugar," Rosetta told her. "I mean it. Stay!"
She flew off into one of the flowerbeds. Why didn't she think of this before? Using her fingers, she whistled and cried: "HELLOO!"
With that, the flowers uprooted, ready and at Rosetta's attention. Rosetta smiled, hovering in the air. "I have a little task for you! Follow me!"
And they did, all the way back to the bench where Rosetta's recipient was. Suddenly, she was surrounded by live flowers, and a very eager fairy. "We now have some assistance!" She said excitedly. Swifty, she clapped her hands, and the flowers set to work.
All the while, Rosetta was hovering in the air, overseeing it all. She moved her fingers in a conducting motion, while she resumed her singing.
"La, la, la la la la! We're gonna make you, Pop-U-Ler! Lar!"

"Ah mi dios!" Audrey grumbled unhappily as the comb dragged through her hair. "Would it be to late to warn you that my hair is practically a bush!" She growled to Rosetta. Uh oh. Audrey followed the little fairy with her eyes as she ran off to get... PLANTS!!! "What the heck are you doing!" Audrey protested loudly as they plants picked and dragged at her face and hair.
Audrey tried swatting away the strange roots in vain but they just kept coming back. She sunk into the bench unhappily. "I hope your having fun, in this... torture!" She growled to Rosetta as she sung. How the heck could she sing that high.
Especially when Audrey was being attacked by these freaky "beauticians".

Rosetta was still busy twirling around in the air, as her wonderful team of flowers did their thing. This was just turning out to be abso-tively perfect! This girl was going to be so pleased! Rosetta smiled to herself. She loved making somebody's day a little brighter.
"Alright!" She said, believing that the flowers had done enough work. "Lets clear out!"
As the flowers backed off, Rosetta took a look. She was posolutely, without-a-doubt, totally, definitely grogeous! Rosetta's face lit up with glee - she did it! She actually did it! Not bad for a first timer. Not bad at all.
Spying a piece of broken glass on the ground - another lost thing from the Mainland - she flew down to pick it up, and handed it to the girl.
"Why, look at you! You're beautiful, buttercup!" Rosetta said with a giggle.
There was only one thing left to do. "Now to get rid of those clothes. Coveralls? Puh-leeze. I think a little dress will do you just fine!"
Turning her attention back to her flower-friends, she clapped her hands. "Dress, please!"
