Peter was tired. He had been teaching Alice to fly all day and girls were hard work. He soon found a new spot of the park he had not yet ventured. It seemed like quite a quiet and peaceful place, and it was more unusual for Peter to want that. Maybe it's this place? He thought. This park didn't hold any particular magical wonders like Never Land did after all. "What do ya reckon, Tink? Good place to camp out?"
Once she had agreed, him and Tink flew down to a nearby tree and settled themselves under it. Leaning against the tree, with one leg bent, Peter then got out his panpipe and began to play. He often did it when he was tired, needed to think or to calm himself down. Kinda of a security blanket you could say.

John was taking a stroll. After his experience in Italy, he needed to try something new. He walked over to a tree, and looked around, and to his surprise, he knew he saw, he wiped his glasses to get a better look and squinted. It was Peter Pan and Tinkerbell. A big smile came across his face and he bowed with a remove of his hat. "Hello, Peter." he greeted.
He then took a seat beside him. "Hello to you, too, Tink." He greeted the little fairy. "Nice day isn't it?" He looked at Peter. "What have you been up to lately? Tell me about it."

Peter started and moved his hand to his sword as he heard a voice nearby. He thought he was alone. Sitting up, he saw a boy who was vaguely familiar. As he drew nearer it took a couple of moments for Peter to remember. "Hello," he said watching the boy as he came and sat next to him. "You're Wendy's brother... Right?" Peter asked, studying the face more clearly. The hat, the glasses, the voice... Yes, it was definitely Wendy's brother. Wasn't it?
As John greeted Tinker Bell, she made a playful ringing noise and blew a raspberry at him before flying round and standing on the tip of Peter's shoe. "She seems to remember you," he said.

John nodded. "I can see that." he told Peter. He would never ever blow a raspberry back at Tinkerbell for he was not that type. He turned to Peter. "Of course you know who I am. I'm John." He then looked ahead. "Any good adventures and fights with Hook lately?"

"Ah, John - that's your name!" Peter said snapping his fingers. He had been trying to think of the name. When he spoke of Hook, Peter remembered their adventure with a sly grin. "Eh, the ol' Cod fish. "He's still trying to kill me, he'll never do it though. He's too old," he said and lent back onto the tree, moving his foot that Tink was now sat on. "What about you?" Peter asked, putting his hands behind his head. "Still wanna grow up?"

"I'm thinking about it". John told him honestly, he then thought he shouldn't have pushed it. Oh, well. "I'm doing a lot of reading. Do you like to read?"

Peter lifted an eyebrow as John said he was still thinking about it. In Peter's mind, there was nothing to think about. "Reading?" Peter repeated, scrunching up his face in disgust. "Me and reading don't really mix," he said closing his eyes. "I prefer to do the actual thing than just read about it," he added, a slight smirk appearing on his face.

John nodded. "Ohh..." he said thoughtfully. "Say, if you read 'A Christmas Carol' and you would imitate Scrooge and steal and then be a miserable miser?" John knew what the expression was so he said. "Well, he changed his ways at the end."

Ah, Christmas again thought Peter, thinking back to when he had met Santa Claus. People seemed to love Christmas around here. What was so special about it anyway? And he had never heard of this Christmas Carol before. "Who's Scrooge?" He asked scratching his head. "Whoever he was, he should stick to what he wants and not be persuaded by other people. They don't know what's best for you, even if they think they do," he added, feeling a strange handful of anger at the pit of his stomach.

John looked at Peter with concern. "Why, Ebenezer Scrooge was a miserable miser who was stingy to everybody. But then he changed his ways after the Christmas Ghosts came and saw that when he died nobody cared. I have the book if you want to hear it." John didn't like seeing Peter angry, nor did he like making him, although he didn't mean to.

"Well, I'm not miserable - I'm always happy!" He said gleefully, his arms wide. "And I'm the hero. This guy your talking about sounds more like Hook than me," Peter added as John explained. "Plus, I'm never going to die. I've never really lived in the first place." He made a face as John offered him the book. "Thanks John, but I don't really read." He paused, a sudden idea coming to him. "Hey, maybe when I see Wendy, she can tell it!"

John brightened up. "Jolly good idea!" he proclaimed. "Before we go to Wendy, do you want to get some ice cream?"

Peter sat up a little straighter. "You know where Wendy is?" He asked. Peter had been looking around the park for her for so long he was sure that she wasn't here anymore. Maybe she was avoiding him? Was Wendy angry at him? "What's Ice Cream again? Is it that... Icey, cold stuff?"

John nodded. "Yes. Also, it comes in all the flavors you can think of." He started off. "While we walk, think about what you want to get. Maybe on the way we'll run into Wendy."

Peter considered this, then nodded. "Alright, I guess that sounds okay." He stretched as he stood up. Peter wasn't used to someone else calling the shots, he was always the one in charge and who told the lost boys and others where to go and what to do. However, he supposed it wasn't too bad having someone else do that. It wasn't like John was ordering him about, and plus they might bump in to Wendy!
"Soo... John," said Peter, seemingly forgetting the boy's name yet again for a moment. "What flavours of ice cream are there?"
