John thought to himself, I thought he knew. But not to hurt Peter's feelings, he said. "Well, you have chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, pistachio, butterscotch, licorice, banana cream, mint chip, chocolate chip, mandarin orange, rainbow sherbet. All kinds of flavors. Come, you can figure it out once we get to the vendor."

Peter became more interested the more flavours John said. "That's a lot of flavours!" Said Peter eagerly and he began to lift himself off the ground to begin to fly, before realizing that John couldn't. Still in the air, he looked round at John with a slight twinkle in his eye.
"Wanna learn how to fly again John?"

John chuckled. "I have it figured out." He told Peter. That was how smart he was. "All I need is pixie dust along with my faith and trust."

Peter looked impressed. So John still believed!
"Great!" He said happily, spreading his arms wide and beginning to lift a little higher in to the air. He stopped short however when he realised that there was something missing. "All we need now is Tink."

John looked around. "Where did she end up?" he wondered?

Peter scratched the top of his head so his green hat moved about slightly. "I have no idea..." He said slowly, looking around and flying a little higher up in the air to see if he could see her. "Ah well," he said shrugging. "We'll find her in a minute, she's probably with one of her fairy friends or something."
He lowered himself back to John's eye level. "So ya still believe, huh? Does Wendy still tell stories about me?" He asked in a would-be casual tone.

John laughed. "Of course she does. You just wouldn't be you if it weren't for her stories." John then looked at his toes. "So, you want to swim after we have our ice cream or have dinner, or..."

Peter considered this. "Uhh... If ya like," he said. In truth he hadn't swam for a very long time and had no idea if he still could. "Hey," he added brightly. "Wanna meet the lost boys again?"
Peter felt something swell in his chest at the thought that Wendy still spoke of him. For a moment he felt smug until he realised, even though this was the case, he still hadn't seen her around the park. Was she avoiding him? "Does she know that I'm here?" Asked Peter abruptly.

"I'm not sure. Honest." John told him. "I belive seeing the Lost Boys again would be a real treat, although they do have me do embarrasing things at times."
(I referred to an episode of my series)

Peter frowned and did a strange little expression with his mouth, wondering what was going on. Why was she so hard to find? He laughed however and felt a strange rush of pride as John spoke of The Lost Boys. "What kind of things did they make ya do?" He asked curiously.

"I don't wish to discuss it, but if you'd like to know." John looked around then leaned toward Peter to whisper in his ear. "When Michael wanted to put on a circus, the Lost Boys dressed me up in a two-piece outfit, you know, top and skirt, put hoop earrings on me and gave me false eyelashes and lipstick. Oh, and the name they gave me was Johnita, the dancing gypsy." John knew what was coming next.

Peter burst out laughing, lifting off the ground and hugging his sides from the ache of laughter. "Hahahaha, that's a good one!" He panted, trying to catch his breath again. The Lost Boys always did come up with the best ideas. As he looked at John, he wondered whether he had ever seen the funny side of it.

John only looked a tad annoyed. "I'm not really one to laugh at myself. I'm sure though, once it gets old, I'll do it."

"Aw, come on John!" Said Peter, still chuckling slightly and punching him on the arm playfully. "It's only a bit of fun! I think I need to teach you how to be more of a boy," he added thoughtfully, rubbing his chin and looking down at John carefully. He studied the long black unbrellla, glasses and top hat. "You look like a man," he pointed out, motioning to the hat. "How old are ya Johnny boy?"

"I'm eight," John replied promptly. "I'm a good boy and do as my parents tell me. I do my homework, brush my teeth, comb my hair, eat my meals. I even clean out my bellybutton once a week." John hoped that would be enough to shock Peter.
