[Merlin]

Archimedes, who had turned his back on them, whirled around as he heard the high pitched voice.
He would`ve been overly happy to see the female owl, hadn`t it been that the voice sounded.. familiar. And not in a good way.
He sat stiff, awaiting the other owl. Pondering where she had come from so suddenly.
As she landed on the branch beside him, making an effort on flirting with him, his mind slowly clicked on place.
Frowning, Archimedes looked into her eyes.. and screamed.
Still screaming and flapping desperately with his wings, he lost balance and fell ow the branch, catching himself inches from the ground.

He ZOOOOOOM`ed over to Merlin, and hid behind his back.
Not an easy matter, seeing as the wizard crouched with laughter.
HEEELP MEEEE! Archimedes desperately screamed desperately.

Esmeralda finally managed to stop laughing. She stood up again, wiping the tears off her face after all the laughter.

"Mrs. Sparrow. I told you to be quiet! You almost had him there!"

Mrs. Sparrow flew after Archimedes and pulled his wings with her own.

"COME ON, SUGAR COOKIE! WHY DON'T YOU AND I GO OUT FOR A CRACKER TOGETHER??"

Esmeralda watched Archimedes in silence, humor twinkling in her emerald eyes, and she looked at him, as if she concidered helping him.

"If I help you," she said, trying to keep a serious face expression. "What's in it for me?"

[Merlin]

He almost lost balance again, as that loathsome whatever-she-really-was pulled his wings. He ducked again, this time hiding behind Djali, No crackers, please! he hooted in fear.
He looked over at Esmeralda, what?.. helping me? it`s your fault i`m even in this mess!
Mrs sparrow ducked after him.
Archimedes Desperately jumped up in the air looking for a new place to hide. HUU.. Whatever you want, he directed at the gypsy, now pleading. But no crackers, please. For heavens sake
no crackers. he made backflips saltos, and other acrobatic moves to avoid Mrs Sparrow.

"My fault?"

Esmeralda poked, leaning back against the tree and calmly watched as Archimedes was chased by Mrs Sparrow. She chuckled with laughter as Mrs. Sparrow ducked after him.

"Merlin, don't you think Archimedes and Mrs. Sparrow would make a lovely couple?"

She looked over at Merlin with a mischievous glimpse of humor in her eyes, then she turned her head and studied one of the branches in the Tree of Life.

"We could braid some twigs and make a nest. Then we place some feathers in it to keep it warm, and then we place it on the branch HERE..."

She pointed at the branch she was looking at.

"It will be a nice place for the eggs."

Archimedes stopped in mid air for a second, flapping his wings viciously in front of Esmeralda.
Stop that nonsense, and do rather tell me of a good hiding place.
In the next second he was on his way again, with Mrs sparrow so close he could`ve plucked out what were left of his tail feathers.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!

In senseless panic, the owl shot through the air like an arrow.
Flying around a corner he disappeared from sight, for now.
Merlin raised an eyebrow. I don`t think my owl is very found of your idea of helping, he commented dryly.

In the next second he was on his way again, with Mrs sparrow so close he could`ve plucked out what were left of his tail feathers.

Esmeralda chuckled with laughter, looking at the owl flapping his wings viciously in front of her. She looked innocently up at him, humor glittering in her eyes.

"Nonsense, who, me?" she asked, seemingly innocent. "I just felt sorry for you for being lonely and tried to help! I think you two are cute together. And Mrs. Sparrow seems to agree!"

She noticed that Mrs. Sparrow closed in on the owl from behind, and bursted out laughing when Archimedes shot through the air, flying around the corner. Mrs. Sparrow was right on his tail, or rather, what was left of it after Esmeralda's dragon trick. Mrs. Sparrow grinned her most flirtatious smile, and called out to Archimedes in her unusually shrill voice.

"OH ARCHIIIE!!! WAIT FOR MEEE!!!"

Esmeralda laughed as she saw the two "love birds" disappear, before turning her attention to Merlin again. She chuckled with laughter as Merlin commented about her "help".

"You think?" she replied, dryly sarcastic. "When you tell a French woman you are lonely, you should expect her to arrange for you a date. So I don't see why he is so surprised."

She peeked through the corner where they last had seen Archimedes.

"Well, at least he finally found a hiding place," She commented, pointing to a trembling leaf-covered twig in a tree, where a scorched owl-tail could be seen sticking up behind the leaves.

[Merlin]

Merlin raised an eyebrow at the sight of the trembling twig of leaves. Indeed. he commented. Well, you don`t think we should give him a little rest by now? So we don`t tire him out i mean, he chuckled. Still while he talked, he pointed out the owl`s hiding place for Mrs sparrow. His sympathy for his pet(which he actually has) didn`t go deeper than his sense for mischief and humor.

besides, perhaps the poor man misses his wife by now. What was his name again? Teague? he added, as he watched Mrs sparrow nipped Archimedes` tail feather in what merlin assumed was her attempt at a playfully flirtatious way.

Merlin swear he could hear the ZOOM sound as his owl shot through the air again, like he were shot out of a cannon, and tried to hide behind Esmeralda.
Merlin`s eyebrow disappeared under the edge of his hat. That were the last place i expected him to hide.

Esmeralda tried to stiffle her laughter as Merlin pointed out Archimedes' hiding place for Mrs. Sparrow. She really appreciated that her teacher was just as full of mischief and humor as she was. She enjoyed these lessons in magic, even though she felt a bit sorry for Archimedes and Djali sometimes. Not that she would ever admit to it, it would go to their heads.

"Well," she poked. "Maybe we can grant him a couple seconds of rest."

She noticed Mrs Sparrow had grabbed Archimedes and leaned him backwards in her wings, like Rhett Butler did to Scarlett O'Hara in "Gone by the Wind." Now she was trying to bend her beak into kissy-lips, without succeeding.

"I don't think bird can kiss, Mrs. Sparrow," she said and lifted her wand. "Allow me to transform you into your charming old self again so you can kiss him."

Her wand started sparkling, then Mrs. Sparrow turned back from her owl form and back to her form as a shrunken head. Then another spark hit her, and she disappeared with a *Poof*. Esmeralda grinned and turned to Archimedes, who still was hiding behind her back.

"You can come out now, Archie. She's gone."

Archimedes was absolutely certain this would be his last day on earth, as Mrs sparrow caught him.
Moments of his life, to this day, passed through his mind, as she held him in her wings, trying to kiss him.
Fortunately she was yet a bird, that gave him some minutes more to live.

Or not.. he froze as he heard the gypsy`s idea of turning her to her old self.
He closed his eyes, waiting for death to come.
Waiting..
He blinked confused at Esmeralda`s next statement. Gone?
So the gypsy witch did have a small glimpse of mercy in her soul after all?
He opened his eyes fully, and found himself in Esmeralda`s dark curls.

he pushed himself away from her, like he`d just been seriously burned, and landed elegantly on the ground.
With a worthy mine,he brushed his feathers like nothing had happened.
I have no idea how i got there, so please don`t get any ideas, he spoke, attempting to sound arrogant.
However, he didn`t succeed in hiding the relief in his voice.

Esmeralda raised an eyebrow in surprise when she suddenly found Archimedes buried in her long, dark curls. She wondered if Mrs. Sparrow had thrown him in there, planning to use Esmeralda's hair as a future nest for the eggs she hoped to have with "Archie." But Mrs. Sparrow was gone, and Archie was alone in there.

She laughed, remembering Archies face expression when Mrs. Sparrow tried to kiss him.

"You thought you were going to die now, didn't you? Come on, give the girl a break! Behind that shrunken appearance is a really sharp brain. She's the head of the Sparrow family. Besides, I think she is cute."

A devilish glimpse of humor appeared in her eyes, and she looked over at Merlin for a moment, before looking at Archie again. Her voice was seemingly innocent as she spoke.

"After all this commotion, Archie, you must be exhausted! How about I make us all a nice cup of tea, hmmmmm? And some crackers perhaps?"

She waited for Archie to get out of her hair and brushing himself off, trying to stiffle a laughter at his attempt to sound arrogant. She managed to keep herself serious as she looked down at the owl and replied.

"I'll try to resist... though I thought for a moment that you and Mrs. Sparrow had planned to use my hair for your future eggs..."

Before the owl could attack her again she hid behind Merlin and frantically started preparing tea and supper by the kitchen table.

[Merlin]

The owl`s head turned slowly, in a threatening way a the mention of crackers and eggs. The way he glared at her, it were surprising that the daggers in his eyes didn`t materialize, and aim directly at Esmeralda, who ducked behind Merlin.
Oh, just you wait..Archimedes thought to himself.

Merlin chuckled quietly inside his beard.
He turned to face his student, only to discover a large table and various objects normally belonging in a kitchen.
He raised an eyebrow, Is it tea time already? He asked jokingly, a hint of pride in his voice.

( ... cause i take it, the table weren`t there from the start..? That would be a bit.. odd XD)

Esmeralda turned her head and chuckled with laughter when she noticed the daggers in Archimedes' eyes. She sent him a teasing grin and went back to work on the lunch, proud that she had mananged to manifest a lunch table without making a disaster.

She heard Merlin chuckle in his beard as well, and turned to her teacher to answer his question when he spoke to her.

"Well, yes, as a matter of fact it is..." she said and started mixing ingredients for a ham and cheese omelet.

Then she couldn't resist the temptation any longer. With a teasing glimpse of humor in her eyes she looked teasingly at Archimedes before turning to Merlin.

"Do you think we should invite Mrs. Sparrow to have tea with us?" she asked, seemingly innocent, as she awaited Archimedes' reaction.

"She has some really great recipes for crackers..."

[Merlin]

The next second omelete and tea were thrown in all possible directions as a hissing and spluttering brown ball of feathers racedover the table, in the gypsy witch`s direction.
Merlin calmly twisted his soaked beard, causing tiny drops of tea to drip from it.
As the owl reached Esmeralda, he discreetely tipped his wand against the two.
Or against Archimedes really.

((I have a feeling Archie's gonna hate me for this for the rest of his life... ;D ;D ;D ))

Esmeralda noticed omelet and coffee flew in all directions as the brown ball of feathers attacked. Archie grabbed her long raven hair with his claws and started tugging and to defend herself she grabbed what was left of his tailfeathers and started tugging too. Owl and gypsy tumbled across the room in a wild fight.

At least they did until Merlin had twisted omelet and coffee out of his beard, and turned to them. Esmeralda and Archie stopped their fighting, both gazing in the direction of Merlin as he discreetly tipped his wand.

In the next moment Esmeralda was transformed into Archimedes, and Archimedes was transformed into the ever flirtatous Mrs. Sparrow.
