Pocahontas touched Esmerelda's shoulder sympathetically. She didn't know what she could say to make everything better. She was glad that her two friends seemed to be getting along.
"So, Nacoma, how are things back in the village?" she inquired, eager to get onto a happier topic. "Has anything exciting happened since I left?"

Nakoma was glad to change the topic to a happier one. "Oh, it's the usual. But I'm glad to tell you that there has been no war since you left. They have clearly learned from you." She winked at her as she said it, she remembered how the last war was starting. But Pocahontas managed to stop it, by interrupting it. And the gods knew it worked.
"And I have discovered a new plant that cures headaches! I found it when I was visiting your Grandmother Willow. She misses you too." Someone had to water her dried leaves when Pocahontas was gone. And keep her company. "And the weather has been rather dry the last few weeks. But the raindance finally worked yesterday."

Pocahontas was glad that things were going so well for her people. She couldn't help but worry about them while she had been gone, particularly for her father and best friend.
The indian princess gave a sad smile when Nacoma mention Grandmother Willow. She missed her old guardian terribly but was glad that she had someone to visit with.
"I wish I could see her again," she told Nacoma. "The closest I can come is by coming to the Tree of Life. Sometimes I sit up in the branches, hiding in the leaves and pretend I'm back home."
"Oh there is so many people for you to meet," she went on, her excitement coming back at seeing her old friend after so long. "There's Jane and Nani and Esmerelda you have met already. Kovu would like to meet you as well. Oh, and Kenai too," she added quietly, blushing.

Nakoma gave her friend a little hug. "I am sure you will see her again soon." If some of the villagers would come and bring her as well. Nakoma noticed Pocahontas started to blush when she mentioned Kenai. "Who is Kenai? Is he a special friend?" she winked.

Nacoma really knew her too well. Pocahontas smiled at her friend's comment and took the falcon pendant from around her neck. It had been a gift frome Kenai, who had travelled back to his tribe to get it from his shaman Tananna. It was the most precious gift, aside from her mother's necklace, that Pocahontas had ever recieved.
"Yes he is," she replied, glancing at Esmerelda for her reaction. "We have been seeing eachother for some time. I would love to take him home to meet my father. He has asked to marry me. Your blessing and approval would mean a lot Nacoma."

Nakoma couldn't be happier for her friend! "You have my blessings! He sounds like a fine man for you. I can't wait to meet him!" she smiled and gave her friend another hug in a congratulation. She couldn't wait to meet more of her friends, and hoped that they were as nice as Esmeralda. Oh, Esmeralda! She turned to Pocahontas' friend. "So, Esmeralda, where do you come from? How old are you?" She hoped Esmeralda felt better now, that she felt like talking.

Esmeralda smiled warmly, looking over at Nakoma and Pocahontas. Poca was such a beautiful girl, nice, sweet and caring. She deserved to be happy. Esmeralda had known her since she first arrived to this new world, and the better she got to know Pocahontas, the more she loved her. Djali worshiped the Indian Princess, and Esmeralda was certain that if goats could be religious, Pocahontas would be the goddess of Djali.
Esmeralda smiled when she thought of the young inuit warrior who had captured Poca's heart. He seemed to be a nice man. Esmeralda was certain that Poca and he would be happy together.
"Poca and Kenai is a match made in heaven," she smiled, her emerald eyes glittering with gentle humor. "You should have seen them when they are all loveydovey....."
Yeah, look who's talking..... I should learn to look at myself in the mirror before I start teasing others.....
She smiled when Nakoma started asking about her. She liked getting to know new people.
"I am from Paris in France, Europe. It was a large town in my time period, but it is even bigger now, I imagine. I am 16 years old."
Then she looked interested at Nakoma.
"I take it you are from the same place as Pocahontas. How old are you?"

Pocahontas hugged Nacoma, tears of joy rolling down her cheeks. She was so happy that her best friend approved of her relationship with Kenai. It now made her more comfortable with the idea of taking him back to the village.
She blushed when Esmerelda added her comments. She gave the gypsy a "what about you?" look when she talked about the couple's alone time. Although the two of them were no longer together, she remembered fondly how Esmerelda and Kovu had gotten along so well.
[[I'll pm Kenai and ask him to join us.]]

Nakoma was so glad that Pocahontas had finally found a soulmate. Third's a charm, as they say. When Esmeralda told her how young she was, Nakoma felt so old! "I am three months older than Pocahontas. I got eighteen this winter. Yes, we are from the same place!" she smiled.
But she had to admit for herself that she was a little jealous about the new friends Pocahontas had got. It had always been just her and Pocahontas. But she was still happy for her. And she had finally found herself a man! "I can't wait to meet this Kenai", she said again, feeling like Pocahontas' older sister who had to aprove her boyfriend.
((They are eighteen, aren't they?))

[[Yes, eighteen sounds about right]]
Pocahontas knew that she was grinning stupidly but she was so happy. Not only was her friends here but she could finally get some news about her people. It seemed so long since she had been home.
"I'm sure that you will love Kenai," she told Nacoma. "He is a darling man, very loyal and protective. He is a great warrior in his tribe although he can be a little inmature sometimes. That's the right word, isn't it Esme?" she asked the gypsy.
