Movie(s) your character is in: A Bug's Life
Character's Personality: Francis can't understand why everone assumes he's a girl. Francis may look dainty on the outside, but he's as tough as nails on the inside. He is a masculine and aggressive ladybug.
Character's History: Francis has been in the circus industri since he was just a, hm, baby. His parents sent him off to P.T. Flea's circus troupe when he was old enough to take care of himself, but even though he did his best, he never succeeded in the troupe, and the audience bugs kept flirting with him, they thought he was a girl. But the masculine and aggressive ladybug learned early how to fight them off.
But one day, when a performance ended in a disaster, Francis and the rest of the troupe got fired. But then they met Flik, an ant they believed was a talent scout who wanted to book their act on the island he came from. He convinced them to come with him to Ant Island where his colony lived, and they were greeted as heroes. It didn't take long until they figured what the ant really wanted; warriors to fight off a group of grasshoppers, and they were just about to run away when a hungry bird came and almost got Francis in its claws. But Flik and the others rescued him and he got away from the bird with only a wounded leg. Francis then had a debt for Flik, and the troupe decided to stay there and help the colony.
When Flik discovered that Hopper (the leader og the grasshoppers) was afraid of birds, he proposed that the colony would build a model bird to scare him away. The colony agreed with him and started to build the bird, but as they finished, P. T. Flea arrived looking for his missing performers and accidentally exposed the truth for the rest of the colony. They got disgusted by Flik for lying, and banned him from the colony, so he had to go away and joined the circus troupe. But Dot (the youngest ant princess) fled after them and convinced them to come back, the grasshoppers had taken over the colony. They put the bird plan into action, and sended it out to scare the grasshoppers away. It didn't work, the grasshoppers figured out that it was only a model. In his rage, Hopper grabbed Flik and fled off, evading the troupe until Atta (the oldest ant princess)intervened and rescued Flik. They lured him towards the bird's nest and got separated. Then the bird came, and Hopper, believing this bird to be another model, taunted Flik until it scared him. Hopper attempted to escape, but it picked him up and fed him to its chicks.
Then the grasshoppers were finally gone, and the troupe departed with the colony’s thanks.
Characters Likes: Children, his best friends Slim and Heimlich, and a good fight.
Character's Dislikes: When others mistake him for a girl, losing a fight and being laughed at.
Roleplay
Task: "Walt Disney World, the happiest place on earth" Francis read on a sign. "Well, that's new. Maybe they could add a sma-"
But then he got interrupted. It was a group of little kindergarten girls who continued to run after him even how hard he tried to fly away.
"Oh, look! It's a ladybug! Isn't she cute?"
Francis managed to fly away from them and let out a deep sigh as he landed on a twig far up in a tree.
"Why do they always do that? I'm not a girl, I'm a boy! A boy! A boy, a boy!" He shouted for himself. Oh, if he was only a bit bigger he could scare them off. Sometimes he wished that he was a spider, almost all humen are scared of spiders.
He sighed again, then realized there wouldn't be any use for him here, up in a tree. Only sissies hide up in a tree. And who wants to be a sissy?
Flying down again, the ladybug decided to get downtown, look at all the weird people who were inhabiting at this place.
"Weird, weird, weird..." he mumbled with his dark and manly voice, and got a few stares.
"Yeah, I'm a guy, get over it!" he snapped at them.
