Desired Character: Jane Porter
Movie(s) it is from (List all.): Tarzan (1999), Tarzan and Jane (2002), The Legend of Tarzan (Television Series, 2001-2002)
Description of character *MUST BE 3 PARAGRAPHS* (characteristics, ambitions, etc. Not a summary of the movie!): Jane Porter is an adventurous young woman, who travels to the jungle alongside her father, Professor Archimedes Q. Porter, and their hunter guide, Clayton, to study gorillas. What Jane encounters in the jungle was not gorillas, but a mysterious wild man named Tarzan. Jane finds herself falling in love with Tarzan, after teaching him human skills, and how to speak English. Almost leaving the jungle - and her true love - behind, Jane has decided to stay with Tarzan and his ape-family.
Jane hails from London, England and is quite the prim-and-proper type. She has porcelain skin, pin-straight brown hair, and big, expressive blue eyes. She is rarely seen without her sketchbook, and is almost always creating beautiful sketches of the world around her. In some ways, Jane can be shy and timid, but when she has to, she can display bravery and courage, and will stand up for what she believes in.
After deciding to stay in the jungle, Jane marries Tarzan, and the two live in the jungle tree house, built from salvaged ship parts by Tarzan’s late parents. Jane is trying to adjust to the culture-shock of coming from London to the jungles of Africa. Countless visitors come to Tarzan and Jane’s jungle home, whether they are poachers, explorers, or Jane’s finishing-school friends.
RP Sample (Can be from another site, if this is your first RP site role play as your character that you want.): Jane Porter studied the sketch she had in front of her. She knew it definitely wasn’t her best work. The lines were messy, and it looked nothing like it should. The young woman sighed and rested her chin in the palm of her hand - today just wasn’t a very good day at all.
Anything you want us to know?: Jane Porter is without a doubt, my favorite heroine. I think she’s a bit underappreciated, but that may just be my opinion. I love her British accent, and the kiss between her and Tarzan is too cute!
