A young woman rubbed her eyes, utterly, totally, lost. What in the world was going on? One moment she was reading a charming fairy tale, and now...where WAS she?
Susan let out a sharp squeal, falling over backward into something wet and cold. Her eyes went to the roof of the large house that towered above her. She yanked some of her hair from her eyes to find her book. Another squeal escaped the girl, and she dove for the book, grabbing it from the snow with a disapproving look.
"I was reading that." she said gently, looking to the book for any damage. Strange...it was a different story than before. "I must have...fallen asleep." Susan mused, soon after pinching the skin on her arm. No awakening came.
"Where am I?"

Meanwhile, a green parrot awoke from his state of unconsciousness. Oh meu... what was happening? He was strolling down the street one minute and the next... this.
Looking around, Jose discovered that he was in some sort of dark, giant house, a mansion or a castle most likely. The decorations were dusty and it looked like nobody had visited the place in years. In fact, such a huge place was better suited for a giant beast of mythical lore.
Giving a sigh, the Brazilian leaned against a clock on top of a table in the entry hallway, where he pondered about-- Wait a minute... a clock? And it was about the same size as him!?
The poor bird nearly lost his balance as he realized that he had shrunken in size. How he got this way was unknown, but he knew that it was not of his own doing. He was further shocked when he looked down at his umbrella and discovered that part of the tablecloth was burning. Jose stomped out the fire with surprising ease, not being burned by it at all.
Curiosity got the better of him as he held his umbrella upright, the handle nearest to the table. "... fogo," the parrot whispered. Suddenly, a small light formed at the tip of the umbrella, illuminating the area. Jose got another idea. "Extinga," he commanded, and the light went out.
In awe by all of this, the parrot sat down with his umbrella in his lap, wondering just what this strange place had in store for him.

Susan rubbed her head, mumbling to herself. "Where am I...a mansion...the Professor's house? Oh no...it was much more alive there. Certainly not Narnia." she whispered, getting up. She ran one hand through her hair before calling out. "Hello?" absently.
She was so curious as to where she was, the place was so dead-like and empty to her. It wasn't warm or welcoming, the mansion had a look of despair and lack of care.
Susan continued on around the house, holding her book close to her chest against the cold of the wintery air. "Is anyone here?" her voice was softer. Finally, the girl resorted to running to the nearest door and knocking on the wooden door.
"Is anyone in there? Can someone let me in? It's so cold out here!" she called up to the windows on the upper level. "Hello?"

A short lady with dark hair and spectacles was groaning a bit as she opened up her eyes wondering what was all this. She was resting on the bench making random fashion designs and somehow she found herself in a strange looking place.
"What is this? Where am i?" Edna said quietly as she wanted to move but suddenly she felt like she can't move. She suddenly felt her hands and feet touching the ground as she looked confused until she saw a mirror and screamed when she realized what happen. The designer was somehow a odd looking footstool with a tail as if she was a harmless pet.

Quasi opened his eyes, and took in the strange, new surroundings, this definitely weren`t Notre Dame..
He yawned and stretched his paws, as he got to his feet. He found himself to be in a dark, gloomy room, in a ruined state. The paintings on the walls were ripped up as from sharp claws, and some of them even laid crushed on the floor. The walls and curtains where damaged in a similar way. All in all it looked like a huge animal had gone berserk.
As he wandered nervously around the room, hoping the raging animal wouldn`t be back before he were out of here, he passed a mirror, scattered in the same way as everything else.
He stopped dead in his tracks, the light, or rather lack of it, must`ve fooled him, surely he hadn`t just spotted something huge and furry in there..?
Slowly, afraid of what he might be seeing, he turned his gaze back at the mirror. His jaw dropped, his mind refusing to accept what his eyes told him. In the mirror, lit up only by the dim sunlight from the window, he spotted a huge beast, with long sharp claws and ditto fangs. How on earth had that happened, he gasped in disbelief.
He stumbled around trying to fight back his growing panic. Just in that moment, he became aware of a glow, not coming from the window. Lifting his gaze in the direction of the pinkish glow, he spotted a beautiful red rose, inside a cup of glass. He went closer in curiosity, as the rose seemed to float in thin air.

"Please, is anyone in there?" She called once again, giving another knock on the door. She'd been knocking for a minute. Someone would've noticed by then if she were there. Slowly, Susan reached for the knob of the door and turned, the large wooden thing swung open with a loud creak and groan, causing her to jump back.
"I hope it's alright if I come in?" Susan let the book be held with one hand. The inside was almost neglected, it was dusty, dark, cold; just as it was outside.
"What is this place?" she said in shock, the wind blowing the door shut behind her with a slam.

<<Having a hard time figuring out how to get Basil/Maurice into the plot. If I mess up too badly, let me know and I will modify or delete>>
Meanwhile, back at the village...
Basil stared up at an unfamiliar ceiling. Why could he not remember where he was or how he got there? He sat up, looking round the room with a frown of concentration.
Nothing. Nothing was familiar in the modest, old-fashioned cottage. Except...a framed portrait on the mantle. He recognized that face: it was the young queen, Susan, whom he had met earlier.
Well, here was certainly a mystery, and if anyone could solve it, he thought, it would be Basil of Baker Street.

(( Got goosed by Chernie. He turned me into the Bimbettes! )) "Where...?" Elisa slowly rose to her feet, taking in her surroundings. She was by a fountain in a tiny village. People were smiling and waving to each other. Looking down, she saw that in place of her usual boots, jeans, t-shirt and jacket, she was in a simple green dress, with a matching ribbon holding her hair back. "Toto, I have a feeling we're not in Manhattan anymore." Elisa mumbled. "So where am I?" Deciding that a cold drink of water might clear her head, she walked over to a nearby water pump. She pumped water into a small bucket, but before she took a drink, a tall, impossibly handsome looking man strode by. His long dark hair was in a loose ponytail, and his tight red shirt clung to each and every muscle on his chest. And oh, what she wouldn't give to be held by those strong arms... "He's so dreamy!""So cute!" "Be still my heart!"Elisa shook her head. Three different voices sounded off in her head. "I've had enough of this crazy dream." Elisa said to herself, pinching her arm. Nothing. Well, looks like she'd have to figure out what was going on... Right after she introduced herself to the handsome man. Abandoning her water, Elisa gathered her skirt and quickly followed him down the street.

((I volunteered to be in this plot.))
Esmeralda was inside a castle. It would have been such a beautiful castle, if it hadn't been so dark in here.... The curtains were drawn before the windows, as if someone deliberately wanted to shut the sunlight out. There was a certain aura of sadness here. Everyone was mourning the Master. Cursed to be a Beast until he found true love. And who would ever love a beast?
Esmeralda sighed and looked down at herself. She had shrinked to the size of a featherduster, and was dressed up as a maid. Her name was now Fifi, and she was known to be quite flirtatous. The other servants used to joke and call her Fifi The Flirtatious Featherduster. Djali, in her arms, was turned into a featherduster, and was now resting in her hands, ready to dust whatever she found.
She walked gracefully down the stairs. As soon as she noticed Lumiere, (Jose in candlestick form), she offered a playful smile and passed him, swaying her hips seductively. When she passed him, she dusted him playfully in the face with Featherbrush Djali. ;D

Nani began to wonder whether this was insanity of the mind. She supposed the amount of coffee she drank last night would not render her sleepless to the point of lunacy - at least, not unless she had gone too far. That was not a comforting thought.
Absently, she rose from the table, but not gracelessly. Despite her closed eyes, she stood on her feet, not stumbling a step, which reassured her somewhat that she was balanced. Her dark brown hair curtained her face as she tilted her head back. She was wearing a simplistic white dress, gold trimmings adorning its to-the-knee skirts; loose sleeves draped over her shoulder.
“Ok, what’s with the purple beret?” she asked, gazing at her reflection through what she thought was a looking glass, not liking the hat she wore one bit. She jumped when she realized it was just a silver pot.
“Gah! I know I used to serve cappuccino before coming here, but come on...” she muttered, slow to notice that her size wasn’t the only thing that seemed out of place. She ran her fingers through the ends of her dark hair and blinked.
She observed her hips. They were huge. No wonder people called her Mrs. Potts. “All that coffee’s going to my hips...” she moaned, then turned on her heel, meeting eyes with the maid of the castle.
“Esme! Es – for some reason I want to call you Fifi!” she exclaimed, hugging her, eyes wide with confusion. Why did she want to call her best friend Fifi? “And where are we? What are we doing? WHY AM I WEARING A DRESS?” she whispered harshly. She heard a young girl make her entrance and was quick to jump.
“A guest…” she said slowly, “might as well welcome her.”
She froze. "Wait, I'm not even wearing a dress! I'm a...a...a pot! I'm so fat..." she murmured, twisting her lips comically.

Jose gave the maid a smile back as she passed him. Fifi was one of the most beautiful servants in the castle to him, and he held a special admiration towards her. With the same grin on his face, the parrot-turned candestick hopped down from the table and joined the others.
Now, the Brazilian had heard the woman's voice beforehand and naturally became excited about the possiblility for a guest, seeing as they did not have one for quite some time. "We should make our visitor feel welcome," he suggested, "show her around the place and have a room prepared for her."

Inside the castle, Esmeralda, now Fifi, looked at Nani with a glimpse of surprise in her emerald eyes. Then she batted her eyelashes flirtatiously and tickled her face playful with Djali the Featherduster and giggled.
"Mrs. Potts!!!" She squealed and embraced her friend. "Uh.... I mean Nani!! Why, you look.... different... today."
She looked down at herself, wearing a maiden's uniform and being the size of a feather duster. Then she looked at Djali, who had been transformed into a featherduster, big enough for her to hold.
"I am one to speak," she sighed. "I wonder what Papa would say if he saw me like this...."
When Jose, now Lumiére, joined them, she giggled and threw a flirtatious glance at him.
"Ooooh, a guest? I have to get the dusting done! We can't let our guest see zeh house like this! Oh, Mrs. Potts! You have a spot!"
She used Djali to brush away a spot from Nani's now round outfit, before playfully tickling Jose with the brush again.

The Brazilian let out a small chuckle as Esmeralda, now Fifi, dusted him off. What the beauty said was true, though. There was work to be done, and not that much time.
"Ah yes, there is so much that needs to be done," he agreed. "The others need to be told about this as well. After all, it is not often that we have a guest with us." Ten years, to be exact.
Jose, now Lumiere, gave the maid a playful wink. "We should all meet again in the kitchen to discuss the plans," he added to the others (which right now was a teapot) in the group. Turning his gaze back to Esmeralda/Fifi, he spoke softly, "Until then, meu amor..." Then he kissed her hand lightly, being careful to not burn her.

Susan sat her book down at one of the dusty table in the hall, looking around. Oh, what was she doing? Some odd Goldilocks and the Three Bears adventure? No! That was not like her at all!
"Ooooh, a guest? I have to get the dusting done! We can't let our guest see zeh house like this! Oh, Mrs. Potts! You have a spot!"
Who was Mrs. Potts? Who was the guest? Susan pondered these things to herself as her fingers trailed along the table. "Dusting here? That could take ages..." she whispered to herself. "Maybe I'm just hearing things..."
"Ah yes, there is so much that needs to be done, the others need to be told about this as well. After all, it is not often that we have a guest with us. We should all meet again in the kitchen to discuss the plans,"
The kitchen? They had a kitchen?
Susan's stomach grumbled at the thought of food, she hadn't eaten since breakfast, when she last remembered anything before being in this strange place it was close to noon...Again, maybe she was imagining things...

Post by Eilonwy on Feb 18, 2009 20:07:29 GMT -5
A young blonde woke up. She looked around after picking herself up. Not anywhere she'd been before. Eilonwy looked around. She saw a talking pot, feather duster, and a candle stick. How were they talking? The young princess saw a mirror and thought it'd be a good idea to check on her dress. But when she looked in the mirror, she saw someone not herself. And she was huge. HUH? Think stick Eilonwy had been turned into a wardrobe.
"Okay who did this?" she asked wobbling on her 'legs'. "Seriously. I DON'T WANT TO BE A WARDROBE. I'M FAT! This is not how I wanted to spend my day. Is anyone here? And can someone help me. I'd kinda like to be human again if that's not too much to ask." she shouted into the air.
