Kida sat on the shores of Echo Lake, watching as the dark twilight approached from the east as the sun set behind her. She was sitting crouched up in a ball with her chin onn her knees. Her hands made random designs in the sand in front of her. She didn't really pay much mind to the designs. She was too deep in thought to really pay much attention to her surrounding.
Today had been a good day, a fun day. It seemed Kida was getting used to the parks and her new life her. It no longer seemed that strange to have a conversation with an animal. She liked riding the rides even the rollercoasters. She liked meeting new people. She really liked watching parades. Yes, it seemed she was getting used to Disney, and she was having the time of her life while doing so.
Kida was actually sitting on the shores of Echo Lake for a better reason than just to think about her day. She was actually waiting for the fireworks. Someone had told her Disney had fireworks everynight and that she couldn't miss them. The person had also told her that Echo Lake was a good place to see them. So there she was, waiting for it to get dark so she could see the fireworks.

Milo always loved fireworks. They just had a way of fascinating him. Of course, since he was always such a thinker, he eventually had researched what made them work. Nonetheless, even though he knew all the science, he still felt a profound sense of wonder every time he saw them.
He stood, looking up at the sky as the colorful swrils began ti light up, and reflected in his glasses. This was just a nice, peaceful night.
He observed his surroundings. There weren't many people around. That's odd, Milo thought to himself. Usually everybody was watching the fireworks. What wasn't there to like about them? Even Milo didn't mind the noise.
As he looked around, squinting a little in the dark, something caught his eye. A bright blue glow, not unlike the crystal that all the Atlanteans - and Milo - wore. It was a little odd to see that color around - it was usually unique to Atlantis. Milo took a few steps closer to the glow, curious now to see what it was.
He made his way closer, still trying to make it out in the darkness, when a giant, bright white firework lit up all of his surroundings. And it was then that he saw.
Kida.
Milo stood there, frozen in both awe and excitement. It had been so long! And right then and there, he turned back into the lovesick dweeb that he was. That she made him.
"KIDA!" He said a little too loudly, for lack of a better greeting.

Kida was just sitting there on the beach, watching the fireworks and oohing and aahing with everyone else. Surprisingly, there weren't that many people there, but she didn't really notice. The fireworks were so amazing with their bursts of different colors. She started to wonder how they worked. She was sure the Atlanteans would like them. They actually looked a little like the light bugs of Atlantis, but she was almost certain that the fireworks weren't bugs. For one thing, they made loud popping sounds. Ah well, she would think about it later. Maybe she could get someone to tell her how they worked when it was over.
Suddenly, Kida heard someone shout out her name. "Yes?" She asked to whoever had called out to her, too busy watching the fireworks to turn around. Then it occured to her. She hadn't really been here long enough for someone to spot her out of a crowd, despite her strangely she dressed. She turned around to see who had called out her name. It was dark, but a familiar blue glow caught her attention. She had only seen the glow in the crystals of Atlantis. Was an Atlantean here? Of course a few other people had a crystal, but what were the chances she'd meet one here.
Curious to know what the glow was coming from, Kida stood up and walked slowly towards the light. She held up her own crystal hoping to get more light to see by. She stopped abruptly about halfway to the light. She wasn't sure, but she thought..."Milo?" She asked softly under her breath. She took a few more steps to the figure and the light. It was! It was him! It had been a long time since she'd seen him, but she was positive it was Milo. In her excitement to see him again, Kida rushed forward and wrapped her arms around Milo in a hug. "Milo," she said softly and happily.
