Poseidon, the God of the Sea, has been in favor for pirates and sailors for centuries. It was believed that when Poseidon had been in a good mood, he had created new found lands in the water in which would leave more room to venture within the Terran world. But when in a bad mood, Poseidon had destroyed these new and old found lands and killing those that were on the island to their demise. Leaving pirates, sailors, as well as other visitors baffled of their destination as the worlds that they were to venture to were to be destroyed.
But there was one particular land that had been created that had been of major interest, the land of Eternal Youth, located within Cuba, Bimini. It was said to be the location of the Fountain of Youth, something in which was a main desire to achieve in society today. But little did the people know; the Fountain of Youth was only a folktale told to children in order to get them to bed at night and to keep their spirits alive. While these children that have grown up and most of them have fought to find the Fountain of Youth, none of them had truly succeeded. Even pirates had searched for the Fountain of Youth and have yet to find it, as they believe hope may still be alive.
Captain Barbossa, along with the rest of his crew, had gone to find the Fountain of Youth, many months after the defeat of the East India Trading Company. Although they had left Jack behind, he still is searching for the Fountain of Youth and hopes to find it before Captain Barbossa and his crew does. Meanwhile, Calypso, the divine form of Tia Dalma, has taken on command of sea, standing alongside the other gods of the sea, but tends to keep her own fury towards pirates and trading companies. Thus, her anger and rage towards those who have betrayed her in the past has still seemed to cause the downfall of many pirates, sailors, and other sea lovers alike. However, there had been one person in whom she did forgive; no matter how angered she was her love for Davy Jones had still been strong, especially after his final words during the grand battle that cost the lives of many. Therefore, she had used her powers in order to bring back Davy Jones from his watery grave, giving him a second chance – something in which many probably would never have expected from this particular goddess.
But alas, Davy Jones was no longer an immortal being. William Turner, the husband of Elizabeth Swann-Turner, had been the commander of the Flying Dutchman, Davy Jones own vessel, thus granting William Turner his own form of eternal youth, where he would sail the seas forever, and once every ten years would seek to find Elizabeth Swann, his lover and wife. With this part in hand, Davy Jones could no longer return to the Flying Dutchman, not wanting to take on the part of a ferryman again. Therefore, in order to gain his immortality again, Davy Jones had set sail with a new crew and went aboard the Kraken, in hopes of finding the land of Eternal Youth in order to retrieve his immortality.
Little do they know what bestows upon them is nothing but a wild goose chase made up by the primary God of the Sea, Poseidon. With the race now continuing on all sides of the ocean, the map to the Fountain of Eternal Youth lies within the hands of Barbossa, while the other half in the hands of Jack Sparrow. But is this map for real? Or is it just a legend? This is Amaranthine, Pirates of the Caribbean RPG taking place after At Worlds End.
