Kida had arrived at Disney only the day before. It had been to late that day to visit any of the parks, so she had just gone to her room for the night, planning to get up early and go to the Magic Kingdom. Unfortunately, she woke up late and only managed to leave the hotel room well after noon. She wasn't too worried though. She'd be able to visit the parks and more in the coming weeks. Something she was very excited about.
As Kida entered the Magic Kingdom, she was amazed by all there was to see and do. Rides lined the walkways. Shops and cafes were everywhere. She didn't know what to do first or where to go. She turned around in a slow circle, just trying to take it all in. Still undecided she started walking, hoping something would spark her interest enough to lure her in.

The young princess was once again walking these streets. The same thing every time. Not something that really bothered the princess. But still. She searched around for something to do. Someone to talk to, something to amuse her. She wasn't having much luck at the moment.
The princess sat on a bench. Her bauble flitted around her changing every color one could think of. And yet Eilonwy was still not pleased. Which was odd for the princess. She wasn't hard to please and was not one to be acting bratty or spoiled.

[[Mind if I join?]]
Kovu santured down Main Street, taking in the shops and the throngs of people that lined the streets. Being a lion, he had little trouble with getting through crowds, as people fell over themselves to clear a path around him.
He spotted a young blonde girl sitting on a bench. Curious, he made his way across the street.
"Hello there," he called. "Who might you be?"

Finally something to do. A new person to talk to. This was just the thing to make her feel better after a slump of boredness. She rose to talk to the lion who had spoke to her. Before she did speak however, she put away her bauble. It drew too much attention. Something she had learned is not a good thing.
"Well hello there. Me? I am Princess Eilonwy, daughter of Angharad, daughter of Regat, daughter of the royal house of Llyr." the blonde said."But nevermind that. My bloodine holds no importance to you now does is? Who, might I ask, are you?" she followed with. ((Not at all))

(I don't mind)
Kida continued on her way, walking down the street at a slow pace. It amused her how the farther down the street she went the shops got smaller and smaller until she felt sure no one could possibly enter them. She found herself smiling at one small shop in particular and wondering what was in the shop if anything. As she looked in the window, she saw a reflection of a young blonde girl sitting on a bench opposite from the shop. As she continued to look in the window, she saw an animal of sorts walk up to the bench.
Kida turned around then to watch the animal and the girl. They seemed to be exchanging greetings, so she thought she might go and say hello as well. "Hello!" She called out across the street, waving her arm to the girl and the animal. She started walking towards them, hurrying in her excitement to meet someone new. "Hello," she said softer when she reached the bench. "I'm Kidagarash," She smiled a wry smile, knowing that her name was hard to say. "but you can call me Kida."

Kovu listened as the girl explained who she was. "It's nice to meet you Eilonwy," replied the lion, sitting on the ground beside her. "I am Kovu of the Outlands, son of Zira and . . . uh, well I don't really know who my father is," he finished sheepishly.
Kovu turned as another girl called out to them. She reminded him of his friend Pocahontas, but she had white hair and spoke with a strange accent.
"Hello, Kida," he said. "I'm Kovu."
[[love your sig, btw, Kida!]]

(Thank you, Kovu!)
Kida nodded her head slowly at the animal as he introduced himself as Kovu. She really didn't know what to say to this beast. Where she came from animals didn't talk, and it felt so strange to be talking to one now not to mention she had no idea what kind of animal he was. She tried not to stare but in her curious state, she couldn't help it. "What type of beast must you be?" She asked Kovo, slightly stumbling in her effort to speak English properly.

Kovu could tell that talking animals was a strange thing for Kida and that she was very curious about him. "I am a lion," he told her, not at all offended. "I'm from the African Savannah, actually, the Outlands. What about you? Where are you from?"

"Well hello Kidagrass. Kidagraph. Kidagash. Oh screw it,"the princess shouted after struggling with the girls first name."Hello Kida. That is a hard name to pronounce." Eilonwy said happily. The blonde noticed quite well that this women was not from America. Or any other English speaking country. But her name may have pointed that out. "Where would you be from miss Kida?" she asked the stranger.

Kida had just been about to answer Kovu when the other girl stated to talk, trying to pronounce her name in full. She smiled lightly at the girl's tries. "Ah, you got close. Most people have a hard time, so I just use Kida. It seems most people prefer it." She chuckled lightly before she simply smiled. Then the girl asked the same question Kovu had. Where was she from? "Oh, I'm from the lost city of Atlantis." She spoke as if where she was from was no more interesting than what she had ate for breakfast. "And you?" she asked the other girl. "Where do you come from and what is your name? I don't think you said it."

Eilonwy smiled as well, at her own attempts. It appeared her strange name comes from Atlantis. Eilonwy, until recently, had never heard of such a city. Until she came her in fact, she was unaware of any land other then the ones she knew of. Prydain, Llyr, Mona. But now, all sorts of weird names were being thrown at her. Atlantis for one.
"And you? Where do you come from and what is your name? I don't think you said it." kida asked her. Well if there was anytime to be formal, it might as well be now. “I am Eilonwy, daughter of Angharad, daughter of Regat, daughter of the royal house of Llyr. Oh, it’s such a bother going through all that. Atlantis you say. Where is that? I have never heard of such a land." Eilonwy asked Kida.

Kida smiled lightly at the young girl as she sat down on the bench. "Not many people know about Atlantis," she said in an almost sad voice. "Some have heard stories about Atlantis, but few believe it really is there as real as this bench." She sighed softly before perking up and smiling. Atlantis is a city, a lost city. It iss lost under the surface of the earth. That is probably why you have never heard about it." She smiled lightly at Eilonwy.
"But I have never heard of your homes." She turned to Kovu. "Where is this African Savannah? Are there more lions there? How far is it from here? What do your people look like? Do they all look like you? Do they all have such fuzzy skin?" She was most curious about Kovu because she had never seen a lion beore.

Kovu listened as the girls talked. It was nice to have such peaceful conversations on a nice day, instead of having to worry about all kinds of villians.
Kida said that she was from Atlantis. Hmm, that name sounded familiar, but from where? Perhaps he had heard it in passing as he wandered the park. It sounded like a very interesting place.
Then the girl started asking about his home. "Well I don't know how far it is exactly but it is several days journey at least. I think you have to cross a great water to come here. I don't really recall. Most of the lions look like me, but not in the same color. I'm darker than most and my scar was a present from my mother . . ."
He trailed off into a fit of mumbles and shook his head. "Sorry about that. My past isn't all that pleasant to talk about, you see."
