Maid Marian and Lady Cluck were wandering through the animal Kingdom, trying to find a proper place to make their new home. So far they liked their hotel room, but when Maid Marian got married to Robin Hood, they would need a home of their own, so they could raise the family they hoped to have.
"Well Marian, we could try to make a home here in Animal Kingdom. Even if we walk on two legs and wear clothes we are still animals," Lady Cluck said.
Maid Marian hesitated for a moment.
"I will have to discuss that with Robin first, but I like the idea of staying here. "
She looked around the theme park again, smiling, and taking in the opportunities.

Pooh had been resting under the shade of a tree when he slowly started to stir, waking up to the sound of soft voices. Stretching and yawning he stood up and looked around wondering where the voices were coming from. He walked a little ways from the tree and the shady spot until he’d followed the voices right up to where the owners were and his eyes widened and his smile grew. “Hello Maid Marian, Lady Cluck,” he greeted, moving towards them and waving. “How are the two of you on this very fine day?” He looked up at the two of them as he came to stop in front of them.

Maid Marian and Lady Cluck looked at each other and smiled when they noticed the cute adorable little teddy bear coming towards them. They gave each other a smile, then they lifted up Pooh and held him between them while they both gave him a big hug. It wasn't to be mean they did this to him, but there was something about the cute little bear they just couldn't resist.
"Good morning little one," they said smiling. "We are fine. How about you?"
Lady Cluck added with a glimpse of humor in her eyes.
"We were just about to find a place for our picnic. Would you care to join us?"

Pooh chuckled when he was picked up and snuggled, his eyes gleamed with happiness, always glad to be hugged, especially by those two. He hugged both Maid Marian and Lady Cluck back and allowed himself to be held up as they did.
“Oh I am fine,” Pooh said looking between them. “Rested and fine.” He grinned and then as soon as Lady Cluck mentioned a picnic his stomach gave a soft rumble and he blushed slightly.
“I think my tummy and me would love to join you for your picnic!” he exclaimed, patting his tummy softly. “And I think I know just the spot where we could have a picnic.” His grin grew and he told them about the tree where he’d been sleeping under just a few minutes ago.
“It’s just back that way, its very nice, mind you I was only sleeping under it,” he said with a soft chuckle to himself. “But I suppose it would be nice to have a picnic underneath it as well...”

"It does sound very nice little bear. A picnic is something we could all use to relax on a day as nice as this one."
That familiar voice seemed to say from behind the group. It was of course Robin Hood, late as usual. Being an adventurer and outlaw for a good amount of his life made his schedule non existent. Just the fact that Marian was here could bring Robin from anywhere. He was smiling and joking as usual as well.
"My guess is you ladies don't mind if I join your picnic today. Who is your little bear friend?"

Maid Marian heard a familliar voice from behind her. Stars were lit in her eyes, a warm blush colored her cheeks under the fur and a sparkling smile appeared on her face. She whirled around and threw herself in Robin's arms, hugging him tightly.
"Oh Robin! I have missed you so much!" She beamed and snuggled closer to him, with her arms around him. "I would love to have you with us on the picnic."
She gave him a kiss, and took his hand in hers, as she turned to the others.
"The bear is our little friend Winnie the Pooh. He is the cutest little teddy bear in the world, but I don't think he has a home, because he said he was sleeping under a tree. Can we adopt him? Just so I can start practicing my role as a mother before we have children on our own?"
She looked pleadingly up at Robin, afraid he would say no.
Lady Cluck chuckled and shook her head.
"Marian, sweetie. You're forgetting to ask Pooh if he wants to get adopted. And it's not certain that Robin is ready to become a family father just yet. At least give the poor man some lunch before you start surprising him like that."
She was done placing the tablecloth on the soft patch of grass, and now all the delicious food in the basket was ready to be served.
"Come and sit down. Picnic is ready."

Pooh looked around as the new voice seemed to come from nowhere, well it had to come from somewhere, someone was speaking... but Pooh, being a bear of very little brain couldn’t figure out where it was. Finally the new creature stepped forth and Pooh smiled happily when he realized the newcomer seemed to be of the friendly sort, and Maid Marian seemed to know him.
His eyes widened and then he blushed a little at Maid Marian’s introduction of him being the cutest teddy bear in the world. He tilted his head to the side a bit when Maid Marian told him that he didn’t have a home, well Pooh did have a home... at least, he thought he did, but in this new enchanted place he hadn’t been able to find one. He stared between Maid Marian and Robin as he was hugged by Lady Cluck and looked up curiously. What did ‘adopt’ mean? And Pooh had never had a mother before, Roo had been the only one with a mother...
He glanced up at Lady Cluck when she spoke to Maid Marian about waiting after they’d been fed and asking Pooh as well. He frowned at that, but liked the idea of eating and softly nuzzled a little against her feathers, hugging her back in return.
“Oh my...” Pooh gasped when he was called over to come and eat and his eyes widened, tummy rumbling hungrily. “Everything looks so... yummy!” He grinned and looked up at Maid Marian, Lady Cluck and Robin Hood.
“I don’t suppose there’s any hunny... is there?” he asked shyly looking back down towards the food.

Robin smiled as her arms went around him and she surprised him with a kiss this time. Robin could tell she was excited about something.
"I have missed you to Marian. It is very nice to meet you Pooh. Adopt? Well I wouldn't want the little one to go without a home, so if its alright with him, we can adopt him. Don't worry Clucky, I know that Marian just adores children. It would be nice to settle down with a family. I guess I just made it in time for lunch."

Lady Cluck chuckled with laughter looking down at Pooh's sweet innocent little face.
"To adopt someone, means that they want to take you into their home. You can live with them, and they will treat you like you were their child. They will give you food and drink, a warm bed, and all the love a child can ask for. And when they get married, maybe you will even get brothers and sisters."
Maid Marian squealed with joy when Robin said they could adopt Pooh, and she hugged both Robin and Pooh, and asked Pooh gently: "Do you want to be our son, Pooh? That will mean that Robin is your father and I am your mother."
She laughed when she heard the rumbling from Pooh's tummy.
"Oh, we always bring honey with us on our picnics. Lady Cluck never goes anywhere without it. Come on, my dears, please be seated so we can start eating. I am starved."
Lady Cluck took Pooh's hand and led him to the picnic, placing herself next to him. Maid Marian placed herself next to Robin, hoping he would join their picnic too.

Pooh had listened very carefully to what Lady Cluck told him about what ‘adopt’ meant, and his face started to glow. Adopting someone sounded like a wonderful thing to do, he’d never had a real family before, though he supposed his friends were as close as they came to one.
“Why I’d love to be your son!” he exclaimed when she asked him and hugged him close. “I’ve never been adopted before... at least, I don’t think so.” He chuckled softly and hugged both Maid Marian and Robin Hood back, glad that he had been adopted now by two such wonderful creatures. Pooh’s tummy rumbled again in agreement when Maid Marian announced that she was starved and he patted his tummy softly with a paw, blushing a little.
“Always bring hunny?” he repeated, his smile growing as he allowed his paw to be taken by Lady Cluck. “What else do you bring in your picnic basket...?” He moved to sit down beside Lady Cluck and looked up at her and then to Maid Marian before a question occurred to him.
“So where exactly... is... your home? Exactly?” Pooh asked curiously.

Robin smiled when Pooh hugged him, he was happy to give the little bear a family. Robin happily sat down next to Marian and laugh softly at the bears question, it was a very good one.
"Our home hasn't been decided on yet little one. I am sure that very soon we will find a home that makes all of us very happy. As soon as we settle down you get to live with us."

Maid Marian smiled as she started helping Lady Cluck portioning out sandwiches, juice, pies, cookies, and even Lady Cluck's home made ice cream. Lady Cluck was a master cook, and Maid Marian had been well taught in the art of cooking, even if this was something a lady of her standing seldom did. Maid Marian, however, had been with Lady Cluck for many years, and did not always behave like the other ladies of the court. She was a bit more impulsive than them, and had more lust for adventure and excitement.
It had been easy for her to fall in love with Robin, and to wait for him all these years, since all other men bored her to tears. She smiled and offered Pooh and Robin their plates of food and smiled.
"Please enjoy your meal, gentlemen. It is a lovely day for a picnic."
Lady Cluck heard the conversation between Pooh and the others, and she chuckled with laughter.
"In the meanwhile, young one, Maid Marian and I live at a hotel in the Animal Kingdom. You are welcome to live with us as soon as you want. As for Robin..... well, I guess it's impossible to keep him away from Maid Marian."
She looked over at Robin, giving him a teasing grin, as to indicate it was a friendly joke from her side.

Robin couldn't help but laugh a little at lady cluck's statement toward him. Since the time Robin had become an outlaw, the gen had become more like Robin's mother figure. It might be hard to tell through his wide eye for adventure, but he did enjoy her presence, it kept him from wandering off with Marian more then once.
"You couldn't keep me away from Marian even if you wanted to clucky, of course you probably know that by now."

Lady Cluck laughed heartily, watching the young male fox, that right now was sitting with his arm around Maid Marian. Since the first time she had seen that fox with Marian, she thought they were just adorable together, and it had been her secret hope that the two foxes would fall in love and get married one day. Now it seemed like her dream had come true. And the best of all: Maid Marian didn't seem to mind at all. She was truly happy with her Robin.
"I never wanted to keep you away from Lady Marian, Robin, of course you probably know that by now," Lady Cluck replied.
Maid Marian looked up at her fiance with glittering eyes, blushing at his words.
"Nothing could keep me away from you either, Robin Hood," she whispered shyly.
