Kida had wandered into a different part of the park. It was hot and humid here, and there were lots of strange, exotic plants everywhere. Even to her, they were strange. But the plants weren't what held her attention. Everywhere she looked there were strange creatures. Creatures taller than her, taller even than some trees. The creatures awed and amazed her but also scared her a little bit. Some of the creatures would roar loudly and swing their long necks and tails. They looked very real. In fact, it took Kida several minutes of watching to realize that the creatures weren't real. Knowing this, she felt safer to walk closer to the creatures.
As Kida continued to walk through the park, she paid no attention to where she was going. Her entire focus was upon the strange, roaring creatures. She wondered what they were and why weren't they real. Why had Disney gone to such trouble to make these fake creatures? Didn't they still exist in the world? She knew some creatures had died out completely. Milo had told her as much. But if they were the case, what had killed them all? There must be lots of different ccreatures here. Some had long necks, others had spikes, some even had three horns on their heads. What could possibly have killed all of them? It had to be something great to rid the world of such great creatures.
Kida had been so focused on the creatures that she hadn't been paying attention to where she was going at all. It wasn't until her stomach growled and she looked away from the large, long-necked creature did she even realize she had no idea where she was. She looked around slowly, looking for any hint of where she might be, but there was none. Kida was totally lost, and she was also hungry.
